Yup, it seems this is gonna happen:

The only thought that comes to mind is: what took them so long? That, and cautious joy. Hopefully Mattel will show Hasbro what good action figures are supposed to look like again.

I better complete my DR collection quickly, before prices go through the roof. :)

Don't anyone get their hopes up too high. Development Hell is all too common the destination for many a movie pitch. Although Transformers took off, so fingers crossed.

I want feathers. Lots of feathers. And lots of guns. Lots of feathers and guns.

And non-pronated wrists.

Lots of feathers and guns.

So that when a dinosaur is hit by a friggin' laser beam attached to another dinosaur's head, it explodes in a frenzy of feathers? :)

Mattel is making all the right moves. Filmation He-man figures and Thundercats Classics (after Bandai butchered the license).

Hope to see some high quality DR toys  :)

The success of "Jurassic World" no doubt has a part to play. Hollywood sees that dinosaurs are still relevant and they're gonna want to cash in. For better or worse.

I hope this get made because Im a sucker for Dinosaur flicks.

However, i would not hold your breath for scientific accuracy.   I expect them all to be scaly.

Seconded on both fronts. I'd much rather a Raptor Red movie, but this would certainly be... interesting.

Thanks,

"Just think about it... Ceratopsids were the Late Cretaceous Laramidian equivalent of todays birds of paradise. And then there's Sinoceratops..."
- Someone, somewhere, probably.

I expect Michael Bay will be making this movie. There will be exposions. And non-descript dinosaurs. And probably Megan Fox.

But really, it is almost unfathomable that a JEM movie is getting made before this.

Maybe Warner Brothers will finally get around to making that Dinosaur Attacks movie.  Tim Burton was going to direct it in the early 90's, but then decided to do Mars Attacks instead of making another dinosaur movie so soon after Jurassic Park.  It's a shame though, the card series was really inventive and weird.

could be awesome..but..." don't get your hopes up, don't get your hopes up, don't get your hopes up, don't..."
