Large dinosaurs needed shade; small dinosaurs needed insulation

An interesting study on Late Triassic dinosaurs suggests that small animals would have needed some kind of insulation when living in temperate environments, whereas large animals (like Plateosaurus) would have become heat-stressed in tropical environments if they didn't keep to shady areas. Dinosaurs might have evolved ways to shed heat that we'll never know about, but this could bear on arguments about feathering in very large animals in warm places.

In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.
