I'd get half of these if they were 'standard' sized :)

Dinoxels

I might get that Moa I need one in my collection.

Ugh why do I have to be struggling right now? I want these all, or well at least most. Hope these will be around for most of next year.

Seriously there's a terror bird, a moa, a Synthetoceras, an Arsinoitherium, I'm assuming Platybelodon, a Meiolania, and even a Dunkleosteus that's quite similar to the Favorite one. The only that perplexes me is the blue Elasmotherium.

Many of these have been on my wishlist for a few years now.

Looking at the dimensions they'd probably be able to fit well into my crammed and limited Cenozoic display. Around the 2 inches by 2 inches mark roughly. Although I was shooting for roughly 1:30 scale, and I'm not sure how many of these fare, but better to have out of scale representatives then waiting for ever for in scale ones to show up. Again I've been waiting a good couple of years for many of these.

Edit: Using google translate apparently the Terror Bird is intended to be Titanis. And honestly I didn't even realize they had an Archelon and Gigantopithecus. My mind glossed right over those, because of the colorations resembling extent animals (which I suppose is understandable in Gigantopithecus' case as it does tend to be restored as such a lot as of late).

Gothmog the Baryonyx

Ooh, I am very interested in the Meiolania, Synthetoceros, Moa and Gigantopithecus, maybe the "Archelon" too, depending on whether I can get the Favorite Co or not. And all depending I how easy to get here in the UK they are. A nice selection of Cenozoic animals though, and a nice size.
Megalosaurus, Iguanodon, Archaeopteryx, Cetiosaurus, Compsognathus, Hadrosaurus, Brontosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Albertosaurus, Herrerasaurus, Stenonychosaurus, Deinonychus, Maiasaura, Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, Argentinosaurus, Sinosauropteryx, Microraptor, Citipati, Mei, Tianyulong, Kulindadromeus, Zhenyuanlong, Yutyrannus, Borealopelta, Caihong

Lanthanotus

Weeehhh!! Looking very good....sure, knowing the line the particular figures could be a bit bigger, but heck, I don't care if I can get these birds :D

sauroid

oh wow i want them all! i have most of their extant animal figures and these would be great additions to my collection.

avatar_brettnj @brettnj will place an order from the site next week with a discount for any group of 8 Eikohs.

Bokisaurus

Awesome! Excited to see someone finally is making a synthethoceras and it looks nice except for the white horns 🤣

I like all of them and would love to get them except for the dimetrodon and orang!🤣

Mattyonyx

That Platybelodon is tempting! How small are these figures? Are they difficult to get outside of Japan?

These look great, but why are they so tiny?

Very small, e.g. the Moa is only 6.7cm tall. The measurements are on the site linked in the op.

Faelrin

I'm guessing these are comparable to like Kaiyodo give or take a little bit bigger in some cases, if not Yowie? I mean brand line is called Miniature Planet after all. I did check out the sizes earlier as well.

There's also a huge market for small figures in Japan (again Kaiyodo for example, but many other brands), partly because of gashapon I think, so I guess this is more of the norm over there. If I'm misunderstanding this someone please correct me.

avatar_Mattyonyx @Mattyonyx Your best bet would be to message avatar_brettnj @brettnj asap as he was taking orders for these recently if you have any interest in getting any of these. You get a discount on any 8 as well.

:D Woolly mammoth is my favorite 2nd one 🥈🦣 and dodo bird is my favorite 3rd 🥉 one too 🦤. I wish eiroh miniature planet prehistoric and extinct animals toys they could send them to USA on Amazon.com an eBay in 2022 to order online shopping to trying complete collection like this.

I wish Im getting 16 eikoh miniature planet prehistoric and extinct animals to complete collection someday.

Woolly Mammoth

Dodo bird

Interesting thing I've noticed:

The Eikoh Platybelodon's trunk is reconstructed as a narrow flexible proboscis as opposed to the flat paddle shaped one seen on older/outdated reconstructions.

Kaiyodo

Yujin

Faelrin

avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy Worth noting it also appears to have a standard proboscidean mouth, instead of a huge lower jaw as it has typically been reconstructed with, like seen in the Kaiyodo example. I think this is the first time I've seen it restored as such (although it looks like there is also an illustration on wikipedia restored in a similar fashion). I have been familiar with the current trunk interpretation, but not the shape and/or position of the mouth. Might have to do more research into this now, as it has gotten me curious.

Shonisaurus

My favorites are the arsinoitherium, platybelodon, archelon, moa, and meiolania. The rest are quite good but they are not as well finished as those mentioned

I was thinking the other day that it had been about two years since the last prehistoric Eikoh release (first was 2017, second was 2019). Glad to see this one go all-in on non-dinosaurs. It's been a long time since some of these had a toy, like Synthetoceras (Starlux, 1974).
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Hope Eikoh has plans to expand upon their non-dinosaur extinct line.

There's a few mentions of "non-dinosaurs" in this thread, but this set has a moa, Titanis and a dodo! :P  I too would like Eikoh to make more of these kinds of animals e.g. Ichthyostega, Acanthostega, Orthacanthus, Xenacanthus, Cladoselache...  But I'd love it if Eikoh made an accurate Velociraptor and Microraptor!
