Does Safari ever reissue retired figures?

I just discovered that the Safari Amebelodon figure is retired.  It seems like a nice figure and i'm surprised they retired it.

Do they ever re-release figures they've retired or is it gone for good?

Eocarcharia

The Amebelodon actually was retired previously, but they re-released it. I believe they did the same with the Doedicurus and Giant Sloth. So, it's not unheard of for Safari to reissue a few of their figures.

This is correct, but it also seems to be a one-off kind of thing. Safari re-released its mammals after their partnership with the Carnegie Museum ended. Apparently they had an agreement with Carnegie that prohibited Safari from releasing mammals outside of the Carnegie Collection. Or something to that effect, it was weird.

A @andrewsaurus If you are interested in getting it, Dejankins still has it in stock.

huh, that's strange........when I tried to select my country when calculating shipping, the drop down menu only had the United States on it.  There were no other options for other countries.

i'll try a different browser maybe.

Edit:  nope, only option for shipping is United States....maybe they changed their policy due to covid but didn't update their website

I recently called De Jenkins to place an order.  He sent me my order and told me to send him a check when I received it.  I'm sure if you call him, he can help you.

I order from Dean on an ongoing basis; his service is excellent. However, since I live in Canada, I have the same problem, so I also just contact him directly with my wants.

Hi Andrewsaurus, sorry that my website shopping cart isn't world-wide friendly.  But please do drop me an email ( [email protected] ) and we'll get things worked out.  Best - Dean

Faelrin

Hopefully getting it from Dejankins works out (would recommend with how well things are packed), but alternatives that still have this in stock include:

Urzeitshop (Germany): https://www.urzeitshop.de/gb/safari-ltd/2689-amebelodon-ur-elefant-spielzeug-safari-95866283223.html
Modellpferdeversand (Germany): https://modellpferdeversand.de/Safari-Ltd-Wild-SafariZ-Prehistoric-World-Dinosaurs-283229-Amebelodon
Diermodel (Netherlands): https://www.diermodel.nl/en_GB/a-56443265/safari-ltd-prehistory/amebelodon/#description
Animal Kingdoms Toy Store (NZ): https://animalkingdoms.co.nz/collections/safari-ltd-prehistoric/products/safari-ltd-amebelodon

Could be some other sites that still have it in stock that slipped my mind, or I'm not aware of.

that's great.......thanks for all the help, everyone.   :)

Not only is DeJankins the best I've ever dealt with (my daughters order for me), he is also a wizard at packing.  Highest recommendation.  He often has retired figures not obtainable elsewhere, as well.
