I'd call it 'crazy' (in the playful sense) rather than stupid.  After all, there is no real detriment as a consequence and nobody has been harmed by it.

Why didn't he just change his name to 'unemployable' or 'impulsive bad decision maker'?  Or 'bachelor for life'?

Consequences are for suckers I guess. Or maybe I don't see the humour inherent.

As an employer, there are so many things that reflect long before you meet--email address (I once knew a girl with the email address of saltybawls), facebook profile (yes, they look you up, and even locked profiles can be seen with a couple clicks), and web presence.  This sort of thing will overall reflect poorly--especially to an investor, which would be known as the source of life to an entrepreneur.
