Another giant abelisaur? Blegh. Feathered megalosaurs? Called that years ago. Giant death blimp? Now this has my attention.

Always kind of wondered with all these large-ish filter feeders why we never really saw an animal built to snatch up bottom feeders from above.

Faelrin

Feels like it's been a while since another Cambrian period animal has been described, let alone one from the Burgess Shale. So glad to see this.

1. I wonder which company will make the first figure of this beastie.
2. I'm also curious what sci-fi abominations it will "inspire"...

Reconstruction by Lars Fields:

Shonisaurus

Gothmog the Baryonyx

That would indeed make an excellent figure. A very nice discovery.

I see Trilobiti being the first to make one!  ;D

Could be! Artificial Animals was first to make Cambroraster, so might also be a contender.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

'Found out late that the images I shared above were just screencaps from the full animated sequence created by  Lars Fields (for the Royal Ontario Museum) showing how Titanokorys probably moved.

I'm unable to post the original animation, but here are some Youtube clips.

Huh that's really something getting to watch that in motion. Thanks for sharing that here.
