Here's a link to the paper:

Paper is paywalled, a but at least they give little snippets of info. Wikipedia article is already up, and has a short rundown from the paper. Seems like the material is near complete, which is great to see. I actually caught wind of this from paleoart from Andrey Atuchin on instagram. Seems like the material has been known about for a while, but only just got described.

Edit: Pic of the holotype material from wikipedia:

At 3-4 meters, that makes a 1:35 model 10-ish centimeters/4-ish inches which is absolutely perfect for a little budget addition to the Safari/CollectA legion of ceratopsians!

Even better, if either of them release an Avaceratops along the line as well, given how similar they are taxonomically and visually, we could have potential for repaints making them appear like the same genus like Martin Garratt once did with the Fukuisaurus and Mantellisaurus from CollectA
On and off dinosaur collecting phases over the span of millions of years has led me to this very forum.

I hope Safari gets to work on this one haha. I miss my Safari ceratopsids!

I'm happy to see this animal finally named!  A figure of it already exists actually, it's the Beasts of the Mesozoic Avaceratops.

I would prefer Safari didn't make it as I would like another chasmosaurine from them and they have made more centrosaurines than chasmosaurines.

avatar_Sim @Sim I would have never realized that, since I'm not too familiar with the namesake Avaceratops to begin with. Thanks for pointing it out.

Edit: Is that what the leaked Mattel one is as well?

Where can I see the Mattel figure?  Below are skeletals of Avaceratops and Furcatoceratops by Scott Hartman:

Hard to say at the moment, as it entirely depends on the morphology of the episquamosals on Mattel's figure. Can't tell for certain though given the blurry nature of the leak.
