Its not the Papo Rex, but I thought you all would enjoy his Schleich cousin spotted in the wild:

Duna

I've found these chinese knock off figures from the French Starlux.

This seems to be an earlier set. It uses a knock off of the running tyrannosaurus and uses Papo standing rex as the box art (and the allosaurus, too).

We are accustomed to look upon the shackled form of a conquered monster, but there - there you could look at a thing monstrous and free." - King Kong, 2005

stargatedalek

Safari Tapejara too.

Is this by chance the Starlux?

Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Faelrin

Watching a stream of Multiversus, a WB Smash styled fighting game, and there is totally an unmistakable silhouette of the standing/JP style T. rex in the background of the Batman stage that caught my eye lol.

I usually feel disheartened whenever I see the Papo T.rex anywhere. It makes me lose respect for my own figure. I thought it was ugly then, I think it is uglier now.

CityRaptor

I sold mine off due to a combination of factors. Ranging from no longer wanting to collect "JP knockoffs" to the figure getting sticky.

Apparently it was also in the Avengers Assemble cartoon, here is concept art:

avatar_CityRaptor @CityRaptor Oh interesting, they also even credited that they used the Papo figure to reference from. That's like a first I think? I also went digging through their gallery out of curiosity when I spotted the Papo raptor too:

Pretty cool art though.

Not the T.rex this time, but the Spino and the Allo:

Please keep that as a link, since the pic shows up much smaller in the forum.

Wasn't sure where to put this, but this park has a statue (edit: or animatronic) of the JW Dominion Giganotosaurus (but with nicer colors I think), and JPIII Spinosaurus. Edit: Also a Velociraptor Blue actor in suit (end of this vid): https://www.instagram.com/p/C69RbU3tBQS/

just_another_jurassicfan posted pics of it on their instagram:

This is the park's website:

https://dinolive.cz/

As expected it was built after Dominion came out, because the park opened in 2024:

per their oldest instagram post (translated into English):

Quote15.4.2024 we are opening the unique Dino Live in the area Džban in Prague 6. You can look forward to 70 moving dinosaurs, learning trail, children's playground, bouncy castles and much more fun.

Those Dimetrodon look to be based on the Dominon ones, too.

Faelrin

avatar_Dilopho @Dilopho Now that you mention it, they do. I think the colors threw me off at first. The head sculpt and osteoderms make it a clear case though.
