New giant, filter-feeding anomalocaridid

Aegirocassis benmoulae. Along with Tamisiocaris, that makes two filter-feeding anomolocaradids discovered so far!


Balaur

Much more bizarre than Tamisiocaris. Perhaps planktivory in anomolocarids is more common that we originally thought? That's what I'm thinking.

Anomalocaridids look like they're getting more and more bizarre. Its interesting to see one where the characteristic 'arms' are used for filter-feeding.
