Look what showed up in a Frito Lays ad on TV!

Anyone else ever spot a familiar dinosaur toy in a commercial unrelated to dinosaurs?

Huh, I'm surprised they had the decency to use a proper dinosaur model rather than a random chinasaur picked up in a dollar store.

Gwangi

Interesting choice in dinosaur sounds being produced by the kid. Probably more accurate than roaring.

Patrx

Wow, that version must have magic jaw hinge that can instantly snap shut! Or, it was a rather bad jump-cut  ;D

I am more suprised by the fact that its a COLLECTA MODEL :o :o.   When you said familier,  I thoght you meant Safari, Schleich, or even Papo.

Now I can never look at the CollectA acro without bird noises and Cheetos running through my thoughts.
"Boy do I hate being right all the time."

Collecta in adds? It wasn't long ago they wern't even distibuting their figures in the U.S.

"3,000 km to the south, the massive comet crashes into Earth. The light from the impact fades in silence. Then the shock waves arrive. Next comes the blast front. Finally a rain of molten rock starts to fall out of the darkening sky - this is the end of the age of the dinosaurs. The Comet struck the Gulf of Mexico with the force of 10 billion Hiroshima bombs. And with the catastrophic climate changes that followed 65% of all life died out. It took millions of years for the earth to recover but when it did the giant dinosaurs were gone - never to return." - WWD

Honestly I like (and I know it's an unpopular opinion) Collecta's acrocanthosaurus and I've honestly seen quite harsh criticisms for this figure. In his day when the prototype was revealed I really liked it and for me it was the acrocanthosaurus that I figured that Collecta would do, regardless of whether there are other figures from other superior companies such as Safari and even Rebor.
