Sean Cooper teasing a Spinosaurus for X-Plus/Star Ace...

Blade-of-the-Moon

Man..I don't know?  I'm sure it will be great in both sculpt and detail..but it's a Spinosaurus...again.  Another Spinosaurus.  You get my drift I guess?

I do. Pretty much anybody and everybody has done Spinosaurus at least once, and some twice, in the past couple/few years. I think you'd need a friend to count them all on fingers and toes.

However, I do think Cooper was due a revision of his Spinosaurus kit, updated to the recent science.

Personally, I was hoping for a T. rex or an Allosaurus to serve as a companion to the Harryhausen stuff they're putting out.

So General Motors is the only company not releasing a Spinosaurus model. ;)

Seriously, I was hoping Star Ace would release Ray Harryhausen's Cephalopod from MYSTERIOUS ISLAND.

This is a different line.  Star Ace releases a lot of products form different licenses.

I'm personally hoping for the Hydra, Medusa and of course more Dinosaurs.

I'm as burnt out on Spinosaurus as the next person, but my interest is piqued by the coelacanth in one of those sketches.

The Coelacanth is available for pre-order as we speak. Check your usual sources, like Sideshow or BBTS. Should be a great one, glow-in-the-dark details and all!

Star Ace has the special edition that comes with the coelacanth fossil too. I've never ordered from the before though, so I can't speak to their reliability.

I think Halichoeres meant the Mawsonia like coelacanth in the Spinosaurus sketches.

Winter Wonderfest happening in Japan, and looks like the Wonder Of Wild series Dunkleosteus is just around the corner...

Are there any more pics of what they ( or others) are showing? Looks like a Scifi piece there to the left?  That would be another line for me to collect lol

Blade-of-the-Moon

I did find these.

Skeleton army might be neat.  No interest in a plastic model after getting the vinyl, though I like the cage accessory..even if it's once again, out of scale.    Gwangi is not pretty from the front.. :/

BLADE-OF-THE-MOON:

The Cephalopod would be my #1 pick, closely hollowed by the Hydra at #2.

I posted these videos on another forum years ago about Peter Jackson's movie prop collection.

Thank you, I should have been more clear! As stargatedalek suggests, I'm thinking of this coelacanth:

Could be Axelrodichthys or Mawsonia.

Funny that they're making a "fossil replica" with a name plate that says "Latimeria chalumnae," because Latimeria is literally the only known coelacanth genus for which we've never found a single fossil.

Also, I'm not especially interested in the Dunkleosteus for its own sake, but it looks like Cooper added some acanthodians to the base. I'm interested in those!

Awesome! There are quite a few I would get.  I might want those skeletons this year, but I'm ot making them a priority. I would have preferred a battle pose, actually fighting. Not just standing there.

I ran across this looking for some other items.

I still wish it was produced, would have definitely bought it.

Another Harryhausen creature from Star Ace/X-Plus, Pegasus!

The DX version comes with a polystone base, and a 1/6th scale Bubo, carrying Medusa's severed head...

Release Date - Jun/Aug '22

Pre-ordering now at Sideshow:

Standard Ver. $289 - https://www.sideshow.com/collectibles/ray-harryhausen-pegasus-star-ace-toys-910388?var=910388

DX Ver. $355 - https://www.sideshow.com/collectibles/ray-harryhausen-pegasus-star-ace-toys-910388?var=9103882

CityRaptor

One can say that the DX version is AHEAD of the normal one.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

None of the new ones interest me---which is good because I might buy the Star Ace Ymir even though I have the older Sony version.

I've posted before I want a Cephalopod from MYSTERIOUS ISLAND, the Hydra from JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS. Also, I want like a flying saucer from EARTH VS. THE FLYING SAUCERS (which is based on a true incident).

As far as CLASH OF THE TITANS, I'm surprised they didn't release Calibos instead of the Medusa head, etc. (Calibos was played by Neil McCarthy, who played a British soldier in ZULU and WHERE EAGLES DARE).
