The DPR Deinonychus looks just like the definitely-adult male Xane; Also, the chick in Bonadonna's 10/2020 NatGeo illustrations has almost the same exact color/pattern as Xane's chicks: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=10177.msg316852#msg316852 ):

2 more honorable mentions, Jed Taylor's "Evolution of my #Deinonychus art" ( https://twitter.com/JedTaylorArtist/status/1419675152640585736 ) & CoolioArt's "Jurassic Park With Scientifically Accurate Raptors" ( https://www.artstation.com/artwork/lRQPYa ) for reasons discussed in LITC's "Podcast Show Notes: Episode 8" (which I think apply equally well to both, despite being very different styles: https://chasmosaurs.com/2021/07/30/podcast-show-notes-episode-8/ ).

Those feathered raptors are much more frightening than the original lizardy ones. Anyone who's been around birds knows that they're unpredictable and deranged, whereas lizards are generally pretty chill.

I work around hyacinth macaws and Komodo dragons. I don't get up close and personal with either one, but if I had to choose which one to pet, I'd go with the 200-pound lizard every time.

Quote from: HD-man on September 03, 2022, 10:20:40 PMIn retrospect, I should've realized my newer favorite sooner. Sorry I couldn't find a better-quality version online (all the more reason to get Naish/Barrett's Dinosaurs: How They Lived and Evolved if you haven't already ;) ):

Here's another 1 of my favorite Allo/Stego/diplodocid artworks. While I like Csotonyi's diplodocids better than Bonadonna's, I like Bonadonna's Allo/Stego better than Csotonyi's. Of the 3 artworks, I think I like Nicholls' best overall, especially aesthetically:

"Prognathodon on patrol"

This was drawn by my friend Thesesametree.
I think of this as the most noble depiction of mosasauridae

Seasame always creates well-thought and rigorous reconstructions. He is vastly talented, especially for someone at 16.

Time for Ornitholestes hermanni!

By PaleoNeolitic, this is a brilliant reconstruction!

And that's it for Ornitholestes...  Moving on, it's Dromaeosaurus albertensis next!

By Fred Wierum, it's a beautiful reconstruction!

By Guindagear, sorry but I like this illustration...

By rhunevild.  It's a nice illustration of Dromaeosaurus based on the Beasts of the Mesozoic version, which I like a lot.

By cisiopurple, Dromaeosaurus just looks good in brown to me!

By IsisMaashiro, this got me laughing!

By YemaYema, I've long liked this reconstruction!

By MantisVerde, another very nice artwork based on the Beasts of the Mesozoic Dromaeosaurus.

By ZeWqt, really cool artwork!
