There's some concerns from UK archaeologists and palaeontologists about a threat of take over of a major Mammoth and Neanderthal site in the English Cotswolds:

Although I really hope this site doesn't get closed off to UK scientists, part of me can't help feeling on how the boot is on the other foot here. It used to be the British (and others) exploiting other countries' fossils and artifacts.

Still with 5 major UK universities involved  and David Attenborough's recent documentary, hopefully something can be sorted out with the UAE to ensure the site is properly excavated and the maximum scientific knowledge gained and shared.

This is the same museum that got their hands on Stan after a private collector bought it.

Hopefully something can be worked out here.
