Up too late because of sinus pain, and while I wait for my medicine to dissolve, guess what I see from Collect Jurassic on insta? The HC Spinosaurus, and it is the JPIII one. Now I can finally complete the unique species from that film.

Edit: HC Stegosaurus as well:

Had to make sure it wasn't April 1st still.

Can't believe we got this and TLW stego at the same time and both look very exciting. One thing I'll say about the Hammond Collection, it gives me a good reason to sell off my mainline figures!

Here's a better look at the Stegosaurus from Collect Jurassic's insta:

I think the head sculpt or the beak looks kind of off, but otherwise looks great to me.

These are on another level as compared to the previous HC figures (with the exception of the Carnotaurus) in my opinion. The sculpt and the paint work; simply amazing and breath-taking. I don't know why the same level of effort couldn't be put in the previous HC figures but anyway, I'm liking the direction in which Mattel is going.

That Spino is BEAUTIFUL. Instant buy from me, even though I've been happy with my CC one for a while now. The Stego also looks great, and very tempting...

Exactly. I always need to downsize, and anytime I can replace say three or four figures with one super nice one is welcome.  These looks very nice with what I think are nicer paint apps? Part of the new Real FX line?  This is the line I think we will see a new Rex for.

Agreed. Looking back at the first HC figures they aren't as good as the mainline figures now even.  I hope they go back and do some reworks like with the Ceratosaurus.

Cool, childhood favorite Stegosaurus and the infamous rex-slayer Spinosaurus were two of my biggest wants for this line!

Doesn't seem like the stego can open its mouth, which is unfortunate.

TheCambrianCrusader

God these look gorgeous.

Aaaaaaaaaand the spino's preorders are already sold out. Figures lol

BlueKrono

Bummer. The Spino is already sold out.

How many times have we been through this now? Pre-orders sell out, collectors panic, figure releases before pre-orders are even delivered, figure goes on sale for 25-50% off. Keep calm, folks!  O:-)

There's no denying that the Spinosaurus is a fantastic figure but as I've said before, I don't need it. Never been a JP3 or Spinosaurus fan. I have the CC version and that's sufficient. That said, if I ever see the HC Spino for 50% I'll likely buy it.

The Stegosaurus is the one that really excites me. I'm so happy that it is the Lost World Stegosaurus and not the Jurassic World one.

Or they wind up at Ross randomly before the street date ::D

Flaffy

Both look stunning. Definitely getting my hands on that Spinosaurus. The Stegosaurus I'll wait till the price drops like it did for the Giganotosaurus and Therizinosaurus.

Maybe the beak is a bit too hooked?

Dilopho

I'm loving them but does the Stegosaurus not have any jaw articulation?
And I kind of hoped that they would add the waist articulation from the capture gear one.

Faelrin

Oh good point it doesn't. That's a step back. I would have also preferred a segmented tail like on the Ankylosaurus too, but eh it might be okay this way.

Pre-orders on Target sold out, but that's to be expected. I hate pre-ordering from them anyways. Hoping BBTS gets these two. Or wait for a sale somewhere.

Love its tlw stego! Imagine jw ones with lips. glad they fixed in jwd ones. If one day we will get jw ones I hope its the fixed one from jwd.
The spino is fantatic, glad they didnt add the articulation in the torso like t-rex, they did the good steps from giga. I hope a future hc t-rex wont have this and other unnecessary articulations. My only nitpick with spinosaurus is the absent of blue tones from the sail.
Did you notice the boxes doesnt have plastic windows in the boxes

Eatmycar

I was really hesitant toward the idea of redoing some of the old HC figures... but... some have aged like milk.

The raptors, especially, though. I can make peace with Cerato and Parasaurolophus, but, man, the original raptors just look so amateur compared to what Mattel is doing now. The wild thing is that this was such a short time span for them to grow and create better figures!

Pachyrhinosaurus

I'm impressed. It's been a while since a Jurassic figure interested me, but I'll definitely be picking them up when they're out.

Man, and were talking about these two days ago, but they are finally here!

Both are absolutely gorgeous. I love the sculpt, I love the colors. I'm gonna be broke after this summer but I don't care, the moment these appear on amazon, the moment I'm buying them.

On the topic of the Stegosaurus lacking mouth articulation, personally it doesn't bother me, specially since the beak is tiny, although it is weird that the baby has it but the adult won't.

I also see that the Spinosaurus only has one point of articulation in the tail instead of two like the Giganotosaurus, perhaps a cost-cutting measure, but it doesn't bother me. The one thing I do think is unfortunate is that lack of blue and accurate patterns on the Spino's sail.

Fantastic figures overall. I need them.

Pliosaurking

The Spinosaurus...it's so beautiful
The stegosaurus looks phenomenal as well!
I will be getting that Spinosaurus and probably the stegosaurus as well.
