avatar_Concavenator @Concavenator Sure! Go ahead!  ^-^

T @Trenchcoated Rebbachisaur The figurine is ~36 cm long (a bit tricky to measure because of the pose, so give or take 1 cm), which at 1:35 scale I think would correspond to a 12.5 m long animal? The largest size estimate I found for Suchomimus is 11 m, so it's a bit too big for 1:35. It's more in the 1:30 - 1:31 range.

avatar_Quiversaurus @Quiversaurus Unfortunately, I do not own the PNSO Suchomimus, sorry!

Thanks! I am willing to make exceptions for animals that are just slightly too big or small, but yeah, that sounds like almost exactly 1:30 scale. Considering both PNSO and HLG keep releasing things that are randomly that scale, I'm starting to feel like beginning a 1:30 scale side collection is almost sensible at this point  :*D

avatar_StickyDan @StickyDan many thanks for sharing those pictures as well as a detailed feedback !
It looks gorgeous :-*

I'm happy to see that Sucho successfully arrived at your place, and that what Papo's collaborators recently told me turns out to be correct.
Mine should finally arrive earlier than initially announced ie at the beginning of the next week. I'm sooo excited !
It was apparently worth being patient lol

This figure looks great :)

FYI for European collectors it's just become available from this German site I use to purchase from:

avatar_StickyDan @StickyDan, I'm referring here to my model which I've thoroughly reviewed too, and I would just have a quick comment regarding an intriguing point you raised in your recent post.
Indeed, I would be keen on better understanding what you mean by "stickyness" ? There isn't such a flaw on mine, that I find "smooth" to the touch.
Also, I haven't noticed any warping/distortion of its head :

Nevertheless like you, I've noticed that the white stripes are (slightly) fainter on the left side of its face :

avatar_Protopatch @Protopatch Glad to see your Sucho arrived, and that it's not warped  ^-^ I managed to mostly fix the warping on mine, didn't even need hot water for it - just a bit of pressure :D
I think now that I had some days to mill over it, I wouldn't necessarily call it "sticky" anymore - I think "rubbery" maybe really is the better descriptor, as I also mentioned in an earlier post. As I said, I find it kind of hard to describe. It's also not the whole figurine, which I failed to mention initially, it is mostly the tail, parts of the thighs, and part of the belly. Those areas also happen to be just a little more shiny/glossy than the rest of the figurine, and the detail is less crisp. The rest of the figurine is more "smooth" to the touch, as you say.

I don't know if it's just my copy - that something happened during the molding process that affected those areas, maybe -, or if I'm more sensitive to changes in texture (I do tend to be more sensitive and picky about textures, to the point that I can't wear certain things or don't like touching stuff if it feels even slightly off), or if it could be related to temperature and/or humidity (it is quite warm and humid in my place at the moment) :*D That said, it doesn't really bother me, nothing I'd consider a flaw, it's just a weird thing I noticed when I initially got the figurine, and that I struggled to explain the feeling of. My Papo Acrocanthosaurus has the exact same thing going on (just different parts of the body), so I think it's just an odd quality of the material they use + potentially environmental factors.

Protopatch

Okay thank you for the clarifications :)
I think that I've seized what you mean by "rubbery" even though my own experimentation of Sucho doesn't allow me to share the same opinion.
In any case, it would be interesting to get more feedbacks on this matter !

Thank you, I believe that the same video has already been shared by avatar_CityRaptor @CityRaptor on 30 May in the same thread.

Does anyone know if this video is also available with English subtitles ?^^
Actually, it's rather frustrating not to be able to understand the reviewer's comments :||

It played for me in English, though I'm sure it is an AI voice based on a few grammar errors and the tone of the voice (doesn't sound like a real person).

Yeah same for me, YouTube dubs an English AI voice over it. Doesn't sound great but I know what he is saying at least. It did it automatically for me though so not sure if its in settings somewhere?

It was automatic for me also. I have no idea how it works, though. 🙂

The automatic AI voiceover has been around for at least a few weeks - I had it pop up on videos of Andy and DinosDragons before (in my case, it was a German AI voice. Which I don't need, because I understand English perfectly fine.). Weirdly enough, it seems to pop up randomly instead of on every video?  ???  In any case, you can turn it off (or on, I guess, depending on what you want :P) quite easily. Just go to the settings button of the video, there should be an option for the audio track, where you can choose in what language the video should be (see screenshot below - in German, sorry, but it should be clear enough I think)

Just click on the audiotrack option and select the original language. This should also automatically make it apply to every video on the site, so you don't have to do it for every video - at least I only had to change the setting once and never encountered the AI voiceover thing again.

If anyone wants an English summary of Rupi's video without having to watch it with an AI voiceover, I could to write down a list of his main points and post it here. Just let me know  ^-^

Protopatch

Okay thank you guys for your help ! I will try again tonight with your tips to see if it works this way as it's set by default in French for me, and there is apparently no Voiceover/subtitles option.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Looks like mine might arrive from Germany Thursday.

I could finally use the AI voiceover in English :*D thx
The reviewer insists many times on the fact that the snout is bent : I believe that you reported the same flaw on yours when you received it.
Actually, this doesn't seem to be a general manufacturing defect and might well be specific to some batches, as the snouts are perfectly straight on my models.

Concavenator

Out of this year's lineup, the one I'm really interested in is the Anhanguera. But it's very possible it'll be bigger than 1:30/35, and I wouldn't like to miss out on it if possible. If so, and depending on the figure's size, do you guys think I'd be able to pass it off as a Tropeognathus?

crazy8wizard

It would need some extra sculpt work to extend its keel out to the edge of the premax and dentary since Anhanguera's keels leaves off before the edge of the snout but Tropeognathus' continues (also maybe some extra arm mass but it's hard to see in the promo shots). Other than that it looks like it could be passed off as close enough. Maybe a malnourished or subadult Tropeognathus.

avatar_crazy8wizard @crazy8wizard Thank you for your insight.  :)

Taking a look at Papo's Anhanguera, the keel appears to extend to the tip of the snout. Granted, the anterior part of the keel could be a bit taller if it was meant to represent Tropeognathus, but I'm not too bothered. Unless I'm missing something, I guess I could attribute such a deviation to sexual dimorphism. :P

crazy8wizard

the keel on the bottom doesn't extend to the snout tip and the one on the premaxilla slopes when in tropeognathus the rounded edge goes all the way to the teeth.
