- The UK's, as well as one of the world's biggest dinosaur footprint site has been discovered by a worker in a Limestone Quarry in Oxfordshire, England.

- The site contains about 200 dinosaur footprints, made about 166 million years ago.

-There are five different trackways. Four of those were made by a herd of the sauropod Cetiosaurus. The fifth trackway has been made by the carnivorous theropod Megalosaurus.

Apparently the Oxford University Museum of Natural History will have an exhibition opening soon about the find, called "Breaking Ground".

Very interesting stuff. We do need a good Cetiosaurus figure from Haolonggood or PNSO. It is such an important early sauropod species.

Nice 1/35 size even for PNSO.Also it's proportions so evenly balanced so it doesn't look like other famous sauropods.

I remember watching the 2021 Natural History Museum series (World of Wonder) a few weeks or a month ago, which had something along the lines in Episode 2. I don't know if this is the same trackway that featured in that episode or a new different one, as I've yet to watch the video, but I do remember it having sauropod tracks, and it being a rather large trackway. In fact I'll probably rewatch that as well to jog my memory.

This is a very recent discovery and was excavated over last summer avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin. So can't be in a 2021 programme.

This even made it to the news on my local TV. They even interviewed Dr. Achim Schwermann. A neat little flare-up of the dinosaur-renaissance in the 90s :)

Thought you might like to see another article on this from yesterday's Observer (Guardian) newspaper:
