Pararhincodon torquis, a new carpet shark from the Cretaceous of the UK

Some new shark fossils from the UK's Cretaceous Chalk suggest that the genus Pararhincodon is a stem-group parascylliid, that is, a collared carpet shark. The specimens appear to be a new species, P. torquis.
