Has this come up on the forum yet? Sounds like there could be new Jurassic Park toys on the cards for 2014...

That 3D poster looks bad.  :-\

Anyway, this is is being discussed over at JPToys; apparently at least a couple of those unreleased JP prototypes from a year or so back may end up being released next month (the Allosaurus and Pachyrhinosaurus in particular). http://dinodan.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=toytalk&action=display&thread=6588&page=1

See here for what we might be getting: http://www.coreplanets.com/forum/showthread.php?751-Jurassic-Park-Toys&s=e3dc2ee476f891d0d175759027cbab95&p=11158&viewfull=1#post11158

I'm pretty excited  :))
And even if it's a small line this year for JP3D, there's guaranteed to be much more next year for JP4. :)

Click sig for my collection! :)

Yup, suddenly the future doesn't seem so sombre for us JP fans any more. Unless it's just all repaints again. But the reports about the Allosaurus and Pachyrhinosaurus sure sound very promising...

Pachyrhinosaurus and Allosaurus are in. They will each be sold separately in "Dino Showdown Battle Packs" for 29.99 in the JP3D TRU exclusive line.

I can't wait to see what the final, painted product will look like.

Full lineup:

Dino Battlers:
Spinosaurs vs Tyrannosaurus Rex
Spinosaurus vs Velociraptor
Triceratops vs Tyrannosaurus Rex
Velociraptor vs Tyrannosaurus Rex

Dino Trackers:
Pteranodon vs Sky Patrol
Spinosaurus vs Marine Patrol
T-Rex vs Ground Patrol

Dino Growlers:
Tyrannosaurus Rex
Velociraptor

Dino Showdown:
Allosaurus Assault
Pachyrhinosaurus Clash

CityRaptor

Atleast we get two of the Protos. Maybe the others with the JP IV line.

Pity about the repaints, especially getting 4 Versions of the T-Rex again.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

I'll definitely snap up the Allosaurus and the Pachyrhinosaurus. As for the rest, it all depends on how attractive their colour schemes turn out to be.

The carno prototype was my favorite. The allo looks like a bad Papo knockoff, and the pachyrhino looks more like a cool alien creature than a dinosaur. I like the pachy, but as a dinosaur is just fails miserably.
My living room smells like old plastic dinosaur toys... Better than air freshener!

The Pachyrhinosaurus figure reminds me of this Star Wars creature (A 'reek', apparently, so I can only presume it is supposed to smell bad):

Yes  ;D, is true  ;D
[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

That reek somehow reminds me of a Placerias.

The Pachyrhino yeah I'd skip for the reasons mentioned..but that Allo is MINE. Maybe two of them if the packaging is cool enough.

His hands look to be oriented correctly and the arms can spread out to the side..if the neck lowers and the mouth opens in an attack pose..eek ! ;D

That thing looks like a scutosaurus on steroids!!! And is also my only star wars toy.

The old "meat-market" TLW Allosaurus has a better head shape... but Im lovin' the details on this one.

Lots of frills and monster-like-appearance. Almost like JP is taking inspiration from another company  ;)

The tables are now reversed!

I love that Allosaurus of course..but it's perhaps a it too thin in the skull.  This one looks a bit more robust..as far as heads go.

Will the Allosaurus and Pachyrinosaurus come with people?

I like them both. The pachy is a bit beefy in the neck though, and the Allosaurus is clearly inspired by the superior Papo model but for action figure toys they're both really good.

EDIT: I just realized that these are pretty old prototypes right? Could it be that this prototype Allosaurus was the inspiration for the Papo model and not vice versa? Just speculating, I don't know how old these prototypes are, if they date back before the release of the Papo Allosaurus or not.

I recall these prototypes first being seen in the last year or so--the Papo has been out for several years now.
