So far as CollectA goes I'm currently getting all three of them.  :)

My thoughts exactly! I love what I'm seeing so far.

SpartanSquat

By now my favourite is the Carcharodontosaurus. I hope to see soon Papo figures.

i'm passing on the dead stego
"you know you have a lot of prehistoric figures if you have at least twenty items per page of the prehistoric/dinosaur section on ebay." - anon.

Blade-of-the-Moon

The dead dinos are a cool concept and a bold move for a toy company. However in the past I've always made my own prey items.  Easy enough customization to do of " living " figures really.  The more deceased they are the harder they are to create...in that vein.. I would like to see them do an older kill eventually.

Turret

My turn to coment on the ichthyovenator. First of all I aplaud CollectA for choosing a very obscure species to represent. On to the model. I agree with other posters about the too straight legs and lack of a belly. Aout the base, I'd much prefer that the knees are bent a bit so that one of the arms reaches the ground and gives the model 3 point to balance on. On the other hand a riverside base would be unique.
I'd also like some profile pictures  of the head to make sure it doesent suffer from a broken jaw (like the tyrannosaurus with prey did).

My 2014 purchase list:

Carcharodontosaurus: Yes
Dead Stegosaurus: Nope
Ichty: Nope

I hope something better comes along :/ They'll be revealing another figure next Friday, right?

I guess I'm just not one of those people who picks up a model just because it's an unusual or new species, or happens to be the only depiction of the species available. I care more about the quality of the sculpting, I suppose.
I agree. Although I look forward to new species, I've found that sometimes it is best just to wait. This is not a knock on collecta, (they are tops in intoducing new animals) and some are excellent but I've noticed that often when they introduce a new animal it is improved upon by others. (Carnegie, Wild Safari, Papo). Concavenator, Cryoloposaurus, Dracorex,Diabloceratops, and Pachyrhinosaurus are just a few examples. Again, not being overly critical of CollectA. I like many of their figures, but I think they would be better served by concentrating on quality rather than quanity.

I just hope that CollectA in 2014 will bring us another Deluxe figure. After the hreat Carcharodontosaurus,I'd be extremely happy on seeing more Deluxe models. :)
I also hope deeply they'll bring a new Yutyrannus. A CollectA Yutyrannus! (fingers crossed,finger crossed,please CollectA,PLEASE!...)  ;)

I wouldn't mind some more Collecta mammals, the Paraceratherium, Megacerops, and Deinotherium are all excellent--I'd love to see them try their hand at some more obscure species--Barylambda, anyone?

I'd love seeing a Deluxe Basilosaurus. It's a shame that companies don't release this amazing animal.

Eventually they will I think...they'll run out of cool animals to do and be stuck..lol  Kidding aside Safari made one for the toobs so I'm sure they could do a larger one.

I could definitely see this happening, too. A 1/40 scale version would be very impressive, I'd love to display it with my Monterey Bay figures

amargasaurus cazaui

I keep clamoring for Pegomastax, in hopes it becomes a reality. Can you imagine what a neat figure it would make?
Authors with varying competence have suggested dinosaurs disappeared because of meteorites...God's will, raids by little green hunters in flying saucers, lack of standing room in Noah's Ark, and palaeoweltschmerz—Glenn Jepsen

I don't expect it too much,I think Arsionitherium is more likely, but Basilosaurus would be definetely a centerpiece for any collection.I personally don't expect it due to its colossal size.

@amargasaurus cazaui.I see the Pegomastax happening.CollectA did a Koreaceratops, who is recently discovered, and they did it soon.I expect it as well,it would be great if done.

Concavenator

Wondering why aren't we seeing the model preview for CollectA this year.Last year they announced the new dinosaurs and in 2012 as well

So a new dinosaur will be revealed tomorrow?  >:D
I just hope it'll be a dinosaur,or a family diorama.I'd love seeing a family of Balaur,or another maniraptoran.Pegomastax would also be pretty nice. And I have my fingers crossed for seeing another Deluxe sculpt and a Deluxe Basilosaurus. The great Carcharodontosaurus made me wanting more  8)
I also want to see the Ichthyovenator w/base soon.

tyrantqueen

Eh. I won't hold my breath, nothing that they have released so far has blown me away. The Carcharodonto was excellent, but not "OMG MUST GET!!!11" for me.
