I asked Collecta at their Facebook page and here's what they said:

QuoteNo we will release more new items only in early Nov
Why?!? :'(
All theweek waiting and...this.
That's a bit of disappointment,atleast for me.
However, this would mean November will be a great month.I suppose in that month we'll see the rest of the CollectA lineup for 2014,no?(last year they announced them in this time). So,being optimist that might mean we'll see a wrotten preview (?).I also think we'll see more than one figure next time we see new CollectAs.And the number of species this year would be big,as they said on its 2013s catalog.Of course I don't know anything about the upcoming figures, but seeing at current  species chosen and the quality of those I think 2014 will be a great year at least for CollectA.Don't feel bad enough because Safari Ltd.said this on a recent Youtube comment:
We can't reveal any information regarding future releases, but I can promise that our Product Development Team works tirelessly to introduce fierce,high-quality dinos every year ;)Keep an eye out in November for the announcement of our 2014 intros!
And I think the Safari Ltd.will be also numberous(maybe,I don't know anything,I just say it for the date).
Just wait 3 months more, and you'll discover both CollectA and Safari Ltd.'s lineup! And in December...PAPO!This if we don't count that might appear another model previewed like last year Woolly Rhino and 2012's Tylosaurus.
2014 will be gorgeous,I think.3 months to wait. Also, consider that these 3 weeks announcement are the earliest announcements in many time.
And still remain to be released some great figures like the Papo Dimetrodon  :) .

I thought they had said before they were going to release one a week in a slow reveal ?  Plans must have changed for some reason.

Maybe the criticism on the Ichthy may have been too much? Perhaps they realized we were going to nitpick on every model and decided to fix other problems on them before showing the previews...

Or I am just overestimating our influence on the new releases... this must be the case  :P

I doubt it. CollectA do have other sources of input other than our forum.

The plans as agreed with Collecta and other major parties is to drip feed the releases over the summer months with  just two or three (from across all the model ranges - prehistoric, farm, sealife etc) per week.  All releases will be public knowledge by September, production scheduled to being for a number of lines in November.

So? >:( >:(

:D

Wow, I'm Severely Disappointed    >:(   I hope they did not change plans on us. Maybe something will be reveled on a diffrent day

SpartanSquat

Im a little dissapointed, I hope to see this in autum. I still have a little hope in schleich to make great figures like in the past. But my sights are in Papo.

They have the right to show their figures whenever they want, what bugs me is that they SAID it would be a figure a week to be revealed, at least that was what I understood. Why then make us all get excited with the news and then let us down with this sudden change. If they could not show a figure per week then they should not have said so.

That is the point right there. I hate sudden changes and I think most people do.  If you say you are going to do something then that's how you should approach it..not turn off your fan base  by disappointing them.

But did CollectA really said that though? From what I recall, it was via Everything Dinosaur that the info was released, correct?
And things change... I think the danger of releasing photos of figures that are still in the early stages of production is that is any correction or changes are made later on. the backlash is worst than if they have not shown any prototype, Mapusaurus is a great example, and now the Ichty, too ;D
Anyway, it's not the end of the world, really. Just be glad they gave us a few preview already  ;D
For me it's more of a  pleasant surprise to have gotten a view of some this early, not a disappointment at all ;)
Cheers!

Those are all valid points Boki, my only thought is that perhaps CollectA should have considered that before hand ?   It's not that we don't appreciate what was shown already, but when people look forward to something and it's taken away..it's pretty disheartening. I can see that side as well you know ?

Surely if they are releasing photos early it's because they want feedback on them? Then they can make changes if there are things that collectors don't like. This is kind of a double edged sword (the Mapusaurus is an example of this) but it's good because they are taking customers' feedback into consideration.

Remember, CollectA...the customer is always right ;)

Well, one of us might be able to create the 2014 Figures thread, and update it ss the new figures are being announced,I think.
In November both CollectA and Safari Ltd.says they'll announce them in this month, but until then there's a long wait.
However,I understand that this kind of info. is prone to delays, because they don't have time, etc. But at least I'm happy they showed us a bit of preview.Anyways, this is the esrliest announcement in the recent years for sure.
It looks like that 2014 will be a better year than this 2013,at least for me.

This is the same thing that seems to me!   ;) ;)

:D

Balaur

Carcharodontosaurus - Me Likey! I will probably get it, but feom what happened to thw Mapusaurus, I won't get that excited yet.

Dead Stegosaurus - I like it too. I am glad they are doing this series and I am probably going to get it.

Ichthyovenator - I don't know. I will wait till better pictures of it in person come in.

Overall, I think CollectA will have another great year.

EmperorDinobot

Such nice dinos. Too bad I ran out of space completely.

Everything_Dinosaur

I think we can all appreciate the tremendous amount for work that goes into model development on a commercial scale and I think it is very much to Collecta's credit that they provided the information on 2014 releases that they have.  We are in regular contact with Collecta and I am sure forum readers will acknowledge that the company have been very proactive in sharing their development plans.

The announcements were some of the earliest we have ever seen from a manufacturer in terms of product development, we applaud such initiatives and we are very much aware of Collecta's ongoing commitment to make more prehistoric animal models and we think those comments about 2014 being an exciting year for Collecta and collectors of Collecta models are absolutely spot on.

Concavenator

I just hope that CollectA's 2014 lineup is full of very exotic, cool, and recently discovered  dinosaurs.
I also want them to produce mire replicas than this 2013.And I'd be really a very happy collector if they actually do another Deluxe. The Carcharodontosaurus is really really good!  :)

No offense...but you sound like CollectA's spokesperson or something.

tanystropheus

CollectA's overall quality has increased immensely over the last few years. They really should revisit some of their older models. Augustinia seems like a good candidate for a makeover. Also, Jobaria.
