Yikes! I agree with some of the above, this thing is pretty hideous. The added feathers look stuck-on, particularly the wing/arm feathers beginning at the wrist.

Yeah, why did they have to make another Therizinosaurus when they released one in 2013?

I didn't like the previous Therizinosaurus, but I actually like this one. The green/blue colouration looks weird, but that's easily fixable. How can people not like this? They took everything that people liked about the original, and improved it.

Big improvement over the old one, imo.

Xeno:  Looks very nice, love the color scheme and quills!  I think the beak looks fine, I believe it's just the corner of the cheek and the white markings that make it look like its connected.

Therizino:  I like it much better than the old one, easily the best on the market.  Claws are nice and sharp looking, head looks good, splashes of color are nice.  The display feathers look okay, the spikey ones above the tail seem the oddest to me.

An "A" figure to be sure - just one question - didn't they get the feet wrong?  Shouldn't the 4th toe be much larger and contacting the ground?
Correct, that's the only major anatomical flaw I can find.  The hallux (which is actually digit 1 of the foot) was a weight bearing toe in therizinosaurus, with a very large claw as well.  An adaptation to help them support their massive weight.

What's the scale?
Based on the measurements provided by ED, about 1:40. :)

If I buy this model, I will be doing some DIY work on it (removing the spiky feathers on the back, and repainting) >:D

I wonder....is it too late to contact CollectA and let them know about the error with the toes? Maybe they could correct it.

Good to see there's more coming from Collecta this year! I like this Theri very much and I will definitely acquire it.

It`s an impressive range of new and also well-known friends. I like this Therizinosaurus much more than his funny pal made by Schleich. But I'm always waiting for the perfect model, if you see the the preparation of David Krentz. The Quetzalcoatlus looks very fine and is an big improvement to the Hatzegopteryx. For me the best flying Quetzalcoatlus is still the Colorata model as the exhibition special. The Carachdontosaurus walks crouched down and is perfect actor for a stalking predetor. It will be helpful to have a dead Stegosaurus at my fingertips. The Ichthyovenator is a great fisher but one broken back spine is not such a big thing to build this huge break in the nice curved dorsal line. The Xenoceratops looks much better than the Triceratops not alone because of the playful comb of fibrils. So I think also, my stock of plastics will increase next year.

Supplement from 2015: I take this way to answer to the post of 'Tyrantqueen' two steps further because I missed the right moment. She is absolute right with her mention about the stop in the dorsal sail of the Ichthyovenator. This is our knowledge today and I was confused with the step in the dorsal line at the Parasaurolophus skeleton. Here it is definitely an individual marking. But you can see a lot of models with this stop. So I think, some reconstructions are very difficult, if there are only one individual as archetype. And so maybe some our expectations for spectacular features must be changed when further fossil records can used. But here the Spinosaurids seems to have a variation in back lines. Without a sail like the Baryonyx, with big sail like the Spinosaurus or two parts like the Ichthyovenator. And the new Spinosaurus have a also over the hips a break in his sail-line.

I'm mixed on this Therizinosaurus. Overall it isn't bad but I don't like the feathers on the arms or the Mohawk looking feathers on the head. The arm feathers don't look natural at all, just randomly stuck on.

Not sure if I understand what you're saying here....but Ichthyovenator is supposed to have a gap in the spines.

Could we send Sommo's version to CollectA? Think of it as forum feedback.

This one looks a lot better.

I like the revision, but I kinda like the funkier ruffled up Therizinosaurus as well. It looks more interesting as a model for some reason.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Ruffled feathers do make more sense for an attacking animal I think.

It's funny how we've had ceratopsians up the wazoo, but not a single Yutyrannus toy :o Even Ichthyovenator got a model already.
