I would not mind a Torvosaurus at all! But still waiting to see more obscure species from Collecta this year.

Collecta already has a candidate for the predator in their not to scale range - they made an Allosaurus a few years back, as for trees, they have two large trees Ginkgo Biloboa and he 30cm Cycad, but perhaps these would look inappropriate next to this 17cm model. Perhaps the Williamsonia or the Monathesia/Cycad models (we call this one affectionately the "clump") might be more suitable.  We made the point about Morrison Formation/Cleveland-Lloyd Theropods to Collecta we highlighted Ceratosaurus, Marshosaurus and Saurophaganax but did not mention the likes of Torvosaurus, Edmarka or even Stokesosaurus.  Hope this info helps.
Thanks for the info.,Everything Dinosaur :).
Saurophaganax would be amaaaaazing!!!!I think manufacturers doesn't release it because it is "almost" an
Allosaurus, but would enormously exciting seeing Saurophaganax! :))

The first image posted up on the Dino Toy Forum by the "dinosaurs" at Everything Dinosaur. The Collecta Stegosaurus corpse, we thought when we posted this information that there would be lots of fascinating discussion about which Theropod might have been the culprit - thanks for all the input.

Roselaar

Dead Stegosaurus, yummy! I had hoped Collecta would continue doing this type of unconventional stages in dinosaur life cycles, as they did it so well two years ago. Glad to see they don't disappoint. Plus, they continue to show coherency in their dinosaur models. The Stegosaurus corpse looks a good deceased counterpart to the "live" sample.
Legs look a bit off though, but that may be because of the angle at which the photo is taken.

Hopefully there will be a dead Theropod somewhere in the long run too. :)

Primeval12

I want it but it was a pain getting mom to buy me the dead triceratops.

Takama

Wow. I wait all week and I get a corpse. I was hopeing for something obscure but its still awsome

.

Torvo Saurus is one of the dinosaurs that I relly wanted collecta to make. Its something that I don't see everyday on the dino toy marketn plus I also dreamed about it.

DinoToyForum

Cool! I'll add it to the first post so we have an at-a-glance reference :) You can also do the same in the future, if you like, as you're able to edit your own posts.  :)

The dead stegosaurus looks better than the dead triceratops...but still not a buy for me. I'm not really keen on the idea of dead animals. Just personal preference.

Maybe it died of old age or disease, and the corpse was being scavenged on? It's all up to the viewer's imagination I guess.

I agree, it does look better than the Triceratops. It is a cool concept but not high on my priority list (actually not on my priority list at all).

EDIT: Here is a concept I may have mentioned before. Why not do dead dinosaurs that match known fossils? Oviraptor on a nest, Velociraptor fighting Protoceratops, any specimen of Archeopteryx? Just a thought.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Cool. I'll certainly buy one of these...I have so many hungry Allosaurs after all..lol  It will also boost the sale of their living Stego I would think..a good plan. Gives me a reason to buy it now as well.

Concavenator

Official info from CollectA:This Stegosaurus was killed by Allosaurus fragilis.I think we'll see a new Allosaurus from CollectA,don't know if it will appear with another dead dinosaur, but it is a high possibility;they did it in 2012 with the dead Trike, and created T-rex with prey.

Takama

Ijust now oght that since they did dead items, how about unborn?

CollectA, please make a nest of dinosaur eggs that are unhatched.

Blade-of-the-Moon

A new Allosaurus would be most welcome by me. Hopefully it will be better than their first release what with all the improving in quality they have been doing.

A nest of eggs would be cool..I've been making my own for the longest time and maybe even a hatching nest..though it would be species specific.

A little more in line with the dead dinos..have a piece where the eggs are being consumed by small mammals or a large snake ?

Here's a thought, what if there will be a new Allosaurus in the CollectA line next year, and by coincidence, the 25th anniversary model for the Carnegie Collection is that same species, much like Diabloceratops showing up in two lines this year? :)
Don't you hate it when you legitimately compliment someone's mustache and she gets angry with you?

I can't say I'd be disappointed if that were the case. :)

i have a sugestion (and this applies to all brands). why not different stages of growth? hatchling, juvenile, subadult. so that we may have a diversity especially with communal dinosaurs/prehistoric reptiles/extinct mammals.
"you know you have a lot of prehistoric figures if you have at least twenty items per page of the prehistoric/dinosaur section on ebay." - anon.

This. I was just thinking about dino nests yesterday. Apart from unhatched nests they could also make dinos in the proces of hatching or a nest of hatchlings (think a nest of feathered tyrannosaurus hatchlings ).

Protoceratops and Maiasaura would be perfect candidates for something like that. :)

I'd love a protoceratops nest with parents, hatchlings and eggs.

CollectA is definitely the most improved brands over the past years. They keep raising the bar, and while the quality standards are still below Safari/Carnegie and way below Papo, I think they're by far the most creative brand.

The new dead stego will be among their most creative pieces such as the dead triceratops, the t-rex with prey, the hypsilophodon and koreatops families. I'm really looking forward to finding out what the rest of their 2014 lineup will be. Hopefully it will have as many figures as the 2012 lineup.

Yes,I agree!I think there's no doubt CollectA is the most improved and creative of the top manufacturers. They really create innovative pieces, such like this Stego.
I am also looking forward to see more 2014 dinosaurs.
Btw if you're interested on knowing when will we see more,CollectA emailed me last Friday saying the following release will be next week,so I guess we'll see more this Friday. :)
