[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

Just wondering if anyone has gotten the new Kosmoceratops and Majungasaurus pieces? That Majunga looks very tempting.

ihatefeathers144

I got them, they are both cute little models.

Are there any planned models for the Saurozoic Collection in 2013? Maybe we could do a poll if David Krentz doesn't know what species people are interested in :)

I'd like to see him take the Giganotosaurus & the Ekrixinatosaurus from his shapeways line along with the old Acro from the antideluvian series into 1/40 scale.

Agreed on all counts.

My only wish is he would go even bigger..I'm talking at 1/20 - 1/15 here, I miss the big Krentz Dinos. But I'd definitely like a 1/40 if that's the biggest he could go.

Here is a ZBrush Sculpt of "Troodon" or whatever you call it... I've been trying to sculpt feathers that will print in 3D, so they may not look totally realistic but they might show up.  If not then the animal will look smoother, which is still very birdy.  Less is more sometimes.
First I'll try this at Shapeways in 1/40 ( 3", for Saurozoic)  and maybe 1/18 ( 6 or so inches) if that doesn't get too expensive.  If it does I'll make a kit out of it.
I'm fluctuating between a Spino and a Therizinosaurus next.  I don't have enough $ in the dino-print fund for that big Alamosaurus I'm detailing right now.

ALSO, I have a Facebook page called David Krentz Art that has a bunch of my sculpts on it.  Please send me a friend request and let me know you are from this forum!

OK, why doesn't this give me the option to post pictures?  I just "upgraded" to Mountain Lion last night...maybe thats the problem.  I'll get them here asap.

I saw the new Troodon sculpt on Facebook, and, as I mentioned there, it's a thing of beauty  :D You can bet I'll be buying whatever the largest version of it turns out to be, regardless of price.

As for the next piece, I'm inclined to suggest a Spinosaurus - there are many already, but I don't think there's one that depicts the stouter, longer-sailed version that's been turning up in recent reconstructions.

EDIT:
Hope you don't mind me posting the image  :o I think the problem you're having is that the uploading of images to the forum has been disabled - to post the photos directly from FB, as I did, just copy the location of the image (by right-clicking on it on Facebook and selecting "Copy Image Location"), then paste it into your post with image tags around it; ("[img]").

Yes, apologies for the inconvenience David. We had to disable attachments because so many users were using the feature it became aburden on the dinotoyblog.com database and the forum stopped working for a while. Hopefully the external image host option works for you though, in fact, it should give you better control. For more information see the posting images thread: http://www.dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php/topic,173.0.html
Kind regards,
Adam

That looks beautiful. I'm already thinking of unique colors for that figure. And I vote for a Therizinosaurus!  ;D

That's it exactly David, just as Patrx pointed out.  You now need to use an image hosting site, like Photobucket, but you can also use Facebook for image hosting. It's where I do almost all of mine now.

The Troodon looks great ! I would love it in 1/40 and/or 1/18 .

Of the ones mentioned I have to vote for Spinosaurus. You should also consider the Giganotosaurus in 1/40 ( OR BIGGER ! ;D )  big theropods sell..and it would be cool to have both Spino and Giga to go with the Rex you already have.

Thanks Blade.  I just spent 10 minutes trying to figure out how to send a friend request in FB.  It has become soooo complicated this year.
