Wow. Really love that Mosa!
Wait...the stego is getting repainted too?   ???

That's what I've heard. The Stego was getting a repaint.  The first few pieces received the faux bronze treatment so I'm guessing those won't be re-painted again. All the ones that have been said to getting repaints are new to getting a 2nd go.

Aww, that mosasaur looks so cuddly with his stubby flippers sticking out like that ;D Looks can be deceiving >:D
It is pretty cool..and we're actually getting several prehistoric creatures in one piece..something not done before.

What's the promotional shot of the Dilophosaurus for? I thought it had been already released?

The shark and the ammonite are a neat touch. It's a shame the mosasaur's tail doesn't have a caudal fin, but the the sculpt is still beautiful...

It has, but it was a cool pic so I shared it..I think he looks like a super villain.. lol

They are..as well as the coral. It could have been a blank rock base...so we're quite lucky. I've often suggested more plants and scenery would be welcome maybe this is a start.

There is a raised area there a bit ?  I'm sure Jorge had a reason for not including it if it's missing though.

Jorge Blanco is a great sculptor and it's good to see so many of his sculpts being used for the line. I wonder if Sideshow has ever contacted Shane Foulkes about producing a maquette...

Btw, is Jorge pronounced "Horg eh", or like the name "George"?

I think to call that part of the tail a fluke is stretching it a bit, to be honest :-X Perhaps this sculpt was commissioned a while back, and has been on the back burner for a while? That might explain why the fluke is absent.

Shane has said if they wanted him to do a piece he would be more than happy to.  Not that I don't love Jorge work but I did like it when different artists were on the project.

I've no idea..lol I pronounce it " George " .

After I see the whole piece from every angle ..if it's missing I'll ask Jorge..maybe this species wasn't found with one or a tail so he had some leeway ?

Honestly, if you look at the End of the tail, I think the would not of been able to put a fluke on.

I think its God trying to tell ME to get this piece.

But in seriousness I am considering making this my first Sideshow statue and I feel that something superstitious put that photo there to egg me on.

Care to explain? It would be very easy to sculpt a fluke on the tail, especially for a gifted sculptor such as Jorge Blanco 8)

P.S. It's "would have", not "would of". Sorry, I just see that grammar mistake all the time and it's annoying.

Im saying the tale is close to the floor of the base, and the fluke would be bent a little.

PS. Sorry not the best at Grammar (Just Ask Dr. Admin, He seen my Writing :-[)

For the price you'd be paying for this statue, I highly doubt you would see such a compromise on anatomy like that, just for convenience sake. Maybe on a toy, but not a $200+ high end polystone maquette.

Plus, lizards have very bendy tails. I don't see why the tail couldn't have flexed :)

That seems like a very probable explanation :)

Jorge is a pretty thorough paleo-artist I trust his judgement so we'll see. :)

Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus

Plus, at any rate, it's a pretty sick model.  ;D

But wouldn't it be awesome to see it swimming in the sea?
Or maybe an aquarium, that'd be fine  ;D

The look of it and the pose..it gives me a dolphin vibe.

Not sure I'd trust it enough to swim with though..;)
