Finally got the Papo Dimetrodon. Not a huge fan of their dinos, but this one is too awesome to pass up (having finally seen it in person).

A question for you, CityRaptor, was the pteranodon meant to be green or is it just wear? I haven't seen any invicta pteranodons before with green on them.

I have no idea. Hence my Question if anyone knows what happened to it. Seems like it could be paint.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

cool new ones CityRaptor. indeed SBell, the Papo Dimetrodon is so untoylike, it's almost like holding and seeing a resin model.

Is there a way to slide in the Yutyrannus jaw better than this?

Hm, mine doesn't have this problem.

Did you use some special technique to slide in the jaw? I do not want to use too much force.

WS Monolophosaurus got here, but I'm kind of mad at the people who sent it here. They just stuffed it in a plastic bag, no other packaging, and an inch of the tail was sticking out of it. It has scratches at the tip of the tail and the end of the nose, easy touchups though. Other than that,I LOVE it!! It can stand on its own two feet!!!! ;D

It happens, shipping woes seem to constant it's just a matter of when. :/

Pretty cool eh ?  Further proof Safari can release pieces that stand on their own. :)

He doesn't like them because of their shameless aping of the JP franchise, and also because of their lack of scientific accuracy.

I find most of them to be more style than substance--they are either very derivative of the worst of JP (toothed Pteranodon? Really?) or just so laughably dumb (their sea reptiles). Which is a shame--because their Smilodon, Steppe mammoth, and Dimetrodon are all great pieces; and I like the ceratopsians too--but their modern animals demonstrate a real ability to sculpt something realistic (spotted hyena notwithstanding. One of their worst, which is a personal affront as it's all about me).

It's not that I don't like them, but that I don't fawn over them as they they have somehow changed the collecting world. Most of their dinos are more akin to movie monsters than real-animal replicas.
