WS Monolophosaurus got here, but I'm kind of mad at the people who sent it here. They just stuffed it in a plastic bag, no other packaging, and an inch of the tail was sticking out of it. It has scratches at the tip of the tail and the end of the nose, easy touchups though. Other than that,I LOVE it!! It can stand on its own two feet!!!! ;D

It happens, shipping woes seem to constant it's just a matter of when. :/

Pretty cool eh ?  Further proof Safari can release pieces that stand on their own. :)

review coming tomorrow. ;)

or the next day- sorry... ^-^

Sauropodlet, did you win in a lottery?!   ;) :)

No, but there was a 25% off coupon, and, well... also, I'm selling off much of another collection and needed to catch up! :)

I also got all of the glow museum line Bullyland figures for GBP 0.99 apiece, so that was nice.  :)

Oh, and my Protochirotherium arrived, for which, many thanks! Battle scars in transit, but careful placement on the shelf should render them invisible. The two-piece design and Bullyland paint is a recipe for disaster. :)

[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

One new book and a magazine.

I have not read the first edition, so I can't compare the two...but it looks interesting so far and the art is nice.

I bought this magazine mostly for the interviews, but the rest of it was also interesting. I might check out the other, non-dino related issues in future. Although, the commonwealther in me wants to grab a Sharpie marker and add the missing L to that "modeler" on the front cover >:D >:D >:D

I'm sorry, but i didn't understand your comment above. Could you explain to me (and other non-native English speakers) where's the mistake or joke on that?

I like to pay attention to the language so I can always improve my English skills. My search in a dictionary shows both "Modeler" and "Modeller" as correct words. Is this a regional variant?

Anyway, here's what arrived today;. I have to thank Postsaurischian a lot for the help with the Protochirotherium. The photo quality is not the best, didn't have really good light, I'm sorry. Some other time I'll take better photos in daylight.

And last this base... from Martin. The model itself is coming in another package.

No need to apologise, I'm happy to explain.

I was referring to myself as a "commonwealther" because my country is a member of the British Commonwealth. Members of the commonwealth include the UK and some of its former colonies, such as Australia, Canada, etc. Countries that are a member of the commonwealth usually (but not always) adopt the UK spelling variant of words. For example, in Australia, they would use the word "colour" instead of "color" because of their ties to the commonwealth and the British Empire.

The magazine cover sort of irked me because I am used to the UK spelling of "modeller", which has two Ls. To me it looks like the writer made a spelling error >:D. The US spelling omits the extra L. Both spellings of the word are perfectly acceptable.

I hope that makes sense :) That's a nice sauropod egg, did you get it from Urzeitshop?

Now I understand. Thanks for taking the time to explain to me TQ. I like to know this kind of info so when my students ask me why the difference exists, I can help them out. Yes, I've got the egg from Urzeitshop. I am planning to get the other ones available there too.
