A lot of good ones, but I went with Gryposaurus. I guess I'm a sucker for a good hadrosaur.

..... That's why my vote goes to the Favorite Saurolophus :D.

It's the only Favorite Softmodel that was released in 2013.
All the ones listed in the poll above were released in late 2012 ....... sorry :-[.

It's really a muddled situation..I mean there are still figures coming out even now and the year isn't over yet...like the WWD figures and the newer Wild Safaris.   I don't think the Favorites arrived  here in any quantity til this year though...the same problem the Saurolophus has in part, I agree it's the best figure of a hadrosaur released, but it doesn't have a wide market yet so many can't review it.  :/

Are they (Favorite) planning on releasing the Saurolophus worldwide or was it meant for a limited release? I need a proper successor to my Tyco Saurolophus, lol.

I haven't heard yet..it and the Tarbo might be exclusives.

:(

Blade-of-the-Moon

Of course you can still get them. I've seen them on ebay and I think Clawmark Toys might be able to get them ?

amargasaurus cazaui

One thing I was susprised at watching the voting here, I seemed to be the only person who cared much for the Collecta deluxe parasaurolophus. I wondered if it is due to the cost of the piece or the way the chest seems a bit overinflated like a barrel? I really am fond of the model so I wondered.

BotM liked it too, I think. I didn't mind the big chest, but the head and the feet were what put me off the most.

It had a bit of a derpy expression. Could have definitely benefitted from a repaint.

The dinosaur doesnt look as clowny in person as the pictures suggest, I think. Not sure I would describe the expression as derpy or almost cow-like which to me seems a natural analogy. In any event the model itself comes off in person quite nice, other than the barrel shaped chest which seems puffed out a bit much.

The figure shows one vote cast for it, apparently mine, in the polls, so I am seemingly alone in liking the dinosaur.

Blade-of-the-Moon

I bought it, after  initially not liking it, some members pics made me go for it.   It does weigh quite a bit..I'd hate to be the kid whose sibling hit me with it.. lol

It is a lot more robust than we are used to seeing, but that may not be incorrect.  It is much more cow-like than say a deer as we've seen some show.

I have it on the shelf now, but I'm sorta looking to trade/sell it..not sure why exactly. I really couldn't find a good way to display it from an angle I liked was one thing.

Hynerpeton

Just by looks Papo Dimetrodon. Have yet to get this.
Walking With Monsers:
[about Lystrosaurus] Astonishingly, their vast herds make up more than half of all life on Earth. Never again will a single species do so well.

Walking With Monsters: (Hynerpeton) To avoid injury the males demonstrate their strength  in a strange  push up contest.

There is nothing wrong with posting in old threads. Certainly no need to apologise!  :)

postsaurischian

That's right! There's no rule against it :).
Why should one not reply to older topics? ....... I mean, the whole forum is about very old stuff ;D.

If you like Dimetrodon (and I know you do), you'll want to get one. I think it is probably my favorite from last year too but I don't have a lot of those yet that I wanted.

I made a top 9 countdown video out of the results  :)) For top figures with equal numbers of votes I decided on the order to place them in. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFSo_Ox52ic

It's a stock sound effect - I think that's what it is :) Though I have a rubber plesiosaur that makes the same sound ;)

DinoToyForum

I'm a bit surprised Gryposaurus came in third. Shows that even crestless hadrosaurs are loved by many!
