These are fantastic!  I've made a total of one plushy (you can see it here if you're interested); it took a lot of effort and looks like garbage compared to yours.  Your skill and design ability are mind-blowing to me!

That's still really adorable, though!

Thank you all for the kind comments and suggestions, I'm keeping a note of all of them! Currently my shop is closed for a short while because I've been neglecting some things I need to work on in favour of sewing a whole bunch of plushies (which is a lot more fun), but I've got plenty of Velociraptor fabric sitting around waiting to be sewn as well as a new design that shall be revealed shortly...

Titanosaur

My requests would be for a Paraceratherium, Saltasaurus, Baby Apatosaurus, and a Kentrosaurus

Hello again everyone!

Things have been rather quiet from palaeoplushies... But this is because I've been working on a kickstarter!

Here's a link, I hope people are interested and I appreciate any support!

The new Velociraptor is looking really great! Good luck with your Kickstarter campaign - you are nearly there!

Wonderful, I wanted the Velociraptor plush in this kind of material! How much will the plushies be when this KickStarter is successful (in US dollars)?

Im probably donating 30 pounds and getting a raptor. Too bad it gets here in February!
Will you be getting the other mass produced too? I would love to get myself a Quetz!

Sorry about the late delivery date! It may be a bit of an over-estimate. I will push to have them done by Christmas but it's a busy time of year for soft toy production so I thought it best to err on the side of caution. I didn't want to make promises I couldn't keep!
If this all goes well I'd be interested in getting some other designs mass produced. Quetz is certainly an option, I'd love to do a pterosaur. I was in touch with another company that was willing to experiment with printing patterns onto minky fur fabric... meaning the result could be a lot more realistic, a mix between my hand-made printed ones and the fluffy Velociraptor you see here. However, the minimum orders were just too high for me to consider them for my first dabble in soft toy making land.

This is something I've still got to figure out, depending on how my Kickstarter goes. It will be in the ballpark of the £30 GBP ($50 USD) price seen on the kickstarter. I know this is a bit pricy for a soft toy, but as my minimum order is still pretty low (in the soft toy producing world) the price per unit is high to begin with.

Kickstarter has been amazing though, it's allowed me to get the plushies straight to the people who want them without having to go to go around to shops and museums and convince them they want to buy hundreds from me before I can even get them produced. The relatively high price per unit would make them too expensive for most shops like that to even consider in the smaller quantities I'm working with. Hopefully in future I can use this campaign as an example of the demand of these things- you never know!

I have two questions:
First - Is dark brown material supposed to be a stand-in for softer materials? I don't mean to complain, but it kind of looks like he's wearing a headband and saddle.
Second - Is it possible for an American to back a UK Kickstarter? This is the first Kickstarter I'm seriously considering funding (I'd like one of those plushies ASAP)!

I think it is. I'm English but I backed an American kickstarter once. Just as long as the creator is happy to ship internationally.

Thanks for the questions- The plush in the photos is how the final ones will appear. The more plastic-y detailed areas are like that because of difficulties with embroidering on this scale. I thought it looked better with markings than without, though. Sorry about this!
Also it's fine for Americans to back a UK kickstarter, I've had plenty of US backers already- I just have to charge a little extra for shipping!

Any chance of other colors after these come out?

Congrats on getting completely funded!

As someone who wasn't able to back this project, how/when will I be able to order one of these for myself

Thank you! At the moment, no other colours are planned. However, the plastic printed areas on these -WILL LIKELY BE EMBROIDERED- (If I am happy with how they look embroidered)! As I raised more than I expected I could order more, and get some changes in at the last minute. So yes, embroidered/applique patches and eyes!

After I get all the incentives sent out, I should be listing these on my Etsy shop and/or Dan's dinosaurs for around £26 plus postage (the £30 pre-order price included UK postage fees, with a bit extra on top for shipping overseas). Time-wise, it depends on how long it takes for the plushies to arrive and how long it takes me to package them all up and post them out. Slight logistical nightmare maybe...

Hynerpeton

So these are 30£ to the USA then?

By plastic printed areas, do you mean the saddle and headband areas? What would happen if you embroidered them?

Out of curiosity; would these toys ever be sold in museum gift shops?

£26 + £4 postage to the UK or £7 postage to the USA, around about that.

Yes, I mean the saddle, eyes and headband areas. This is what it looks like: https://www.dropbox.com/s/a3y24m8bqi4dxuj/%25E6%2597%258B%25E8%25BD%25AC%20DSCN0644.JPG?dl=0

As for museum gift shops, I'm hoping that one day these will be seen there, sadly, at the moment my order numbers are still too low to get the price down enough for museums to be too interested. However, as the kickstarter was a big success I'll certainly be doing more plushie endeavours in future!

It's wonderful that the Kickstarter did so well. I'd love to see what else you'd work on! (any more feathered dinosaurs planned?)

The embroidered areas look a lot better than I had thought. The original images made it look a bit jarring in comparison to the rest of the materials (with a shiny, plastic-y feel), but it's nice to know that it won't be the case with the final product.
