Personally I prefer sauropods ;)

I like your Kaiyodo collection.

So, new assortment every saturday, your display space seems rather small (but neat) but your collection big.... where/how do you store all the stuff during the weeks they are not displayed?

My wife barely tolerates my collecting interest and so I am limited to one of our shower rooms. I put the little shelves up on the pretence of it being for toiletries. She rarely ventures in there so it has become my little display area.

With regards to storage some figures live in my loft and others in my wardrobe. I keep them in tough storage cases.

I've been fortunate to have owned a huge variety of figures but what is left is a small but enjoyable remnant. I tend to keep disciplined with my one in one out policy.

Kaiyodo are a favourite of mine. I'll put some more expo figures on display next week and soon start on the Dinotales.

Busy weekend ahead so change over day comes early... Middle shelf was a little fiddly and I've managed to get extra space by recycling an old port case....

Had a few minutes to spare tonight so used my non existent artistic acumen to create backgrounds for the shelves.

Not sure if they add, overwhelm or detract. Think they will suit larger figures for the lower two shelves but quite like the wooden box.

Feedback and advice would be great.

It looks pretty nice!

The backdrops are a great touch! I printed out an ocean background to place behind a shelf of marine reptiles, though the shelf is getting a bit crowded now, to the point where it is difficult to see the background. But the backgrounds really give a sense of place and context so like I said, great touch.

Burian's art if I am correct, great choice. I am very fond of prehistoric landscape pictures and Burian's in particular appeal to me (maybe because they were in one of my first dinosaur books). And again a nice selection of figures.

Saturday is here again. Think personally the Timpo middle shelf is the jewel in my collection. The background really sets them off too.

Happy new year all. Not posted for a long while since the passing of my father in law. Two bouts of heavy colds haven't helped either. Small changes to the display, just don't have the energy or inclination. New acquisition in the hydra, which whilst in poor condition, is a really interesting piece.

Thanks for looking, I've enjoyed everyone's collection photos in recent weeks.

I've never seen those vintage Japanese figures before, but I'll be on the look out for the plesiosaur. Good catch!

Also, the blue variant of the Dinocrat plesiosaur is new to me. (I still need to review it, as promised in 2009: http://dinotoyblog.com/2009/04/23/plesiosaur-dinocrats/  :-[)

Glad you're feeling better. Great collection! :)

your displays, especially the vintage, are very inspiring.

Hi, UK
Hope you get well soon.
I realy like your two "Dawn of the Dinosaurs" items.
I just recently managed to get a hold on the "Frenguellisaurus".
I do believe I have the large version ( http://www.clawmarktoys.com/shop/dinos/dawn-of-the-dinosaurs-tokyo-frenguellisaurus-figure/ )
NOT the small one ( http://www.clawmarktoys.com/shop/dinos/dawn-of-the-dinosaurs-exhibit-exclusive-frenguellisaurus-figure/ ).
But, It is said to be made out of "hard vinyl resin" - and I wonder what does it mean ?
Mine can be slightly bent at the tip of the tail and I wish to ask if yours is hard solid or can also be bent a litle ?
Thanks

Happy New Year and thanks for the update.  Your models are so well displayed - I love the context the backgrounds give.  I hope your energy levels rise as the winter passes.

Hi Brontoscorpio, thank you for your wishes. I've just gone upstairs to check for you. The tail on my figure is rigid and definately has a resin feel to it. They are wonderful figures, I wish I could grab the saurosuchus.

Happy New Year to you too. I'm beginning to feel better, my wife is still struggling after being diagnosed as having the flu. It's time to rotate the display soon, may be tomorrow. Thank you for your compliments.
