Tylosaurus eating shark and hesperornithid chasing fish
South African Molok
I didn't know that about the feathers soo thanks for pointing it out.

well done !   ^-^. I love your Liopleurodon and Tylosaurus. Good details in Liopleurodon´s head and body  ^-^.
[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

Thanks. Right now I am about to start working on my next drawing: a mother deinonychus standing over her nest. The reference is again from Scott Hartman but this time up to date.

Back to paleoart ;). Slight update on Ceratosaurus vs. Ceratodus.

I have decided to start with a new drawing, a cryolophosaurus, possibly with a glacialosaurus. I am also continuing work on the Ceratosaurus picture. SPOILER WARNING: There will be many types of fish, freshwater bivalves, and frogs in this drawing.

The Ceratosaurus drawing is almost finished and I will post it soon.

I am going to wait a while to draw the Deinonychus and Cryolophosaurus. There are to other drawings I have decieded to work on first: since I havn't drawn many famous dinosaurs, or any other creatures for that matter, I have decided to draw a Tyrannosaurus; and, first, what is truley one of the weirdest creatures to have ever existed, Helicoprion. I will base the Helicoprion on this drawing, which has always been one of my favorite reconstructions of this bizarre creature.

Finished Helicoprion.
Not colored in yet but will be, I will probably color it like some kind of tropical shark, and maybe even give it ridges down it's sides. And no, the picture is not meant to go that way, it is vertical.

Here, maybe this one is better :).
UPDATE: It's not :(.

The Helicoprion is finished. I have also decided to start sculpting figures, my first model will be Charnia. The finished models will probably be cast and sold. Anyway, I am also about to start the Tyrannosaurus drawing, expect to see feathers on it.

New drawing, Cameroceras. I think that a lot of Paleozoic creatures are cool but not depicted enough in art, so I will be drawing and/or sculpting a lot of them.  *orthocone*

I can't think of a cool but also rarely used color pattern for my Ceratosaurus. Any suggestions? Also I will soon start the Tyrannosaurus and (possibly) a Allosaurus.

Pachyrhinosaurus

That's some nice work. Are those real species of ammonites?
As for color ideas, I suggest you look at modern lizards, snakes, and birds. In the past, I have colored triceratops from sunbitterns and an eoraptor from a fire skink.

Thanks for the suggestion. As for the Ammonites no they are not real species, they are deep sea species I made up for the Speculative Dinosaur Project.

Finished Ceratosaurus Hunting drawing. Ceratosaurus coloration based on Cape Gannets.

Finished Tyrannosaurus. Not too happy with it, maybe someday I will draw a better one.

I have decided to make a profile of an Allosaurus male as my next drawing. It will only show the head, though I may eventually draw a picture showing the whole creature. It will have some feathers, but not too many since it was a large creature living in a hot environment, on it thanks to the discovery of Sciuriomimus. Next I plan to draw a Diplodocus, but I am open for suggestions for future drawings. Also, the Charnia will probably not even be started for a while, because I am busy with other things at the moment.

A new drawing will be coming, a feeding Pelecanimimus, with a twist.

Finished Allosaurus. I think it turned out far better than the Tyrannosaurus. Instead of the usual horny approach to the crests, I depicted them sporting display feathers, since it is a male.
