avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres Drawing them in lateral view is definitely easier, and orientation is important too! FWIW, I think I would have a hard time drawing an animal in right lateral view.  :P

And yeah, for some particular cases, adding some perspective would be the ideal solution.

Deinonychus antirrhopus (Ostrom, 1969)

The last time I drew Deinonychus was in 2015, 9 years ago! Right now I don't have a pic of my previous version, it was cute (it resembled a pigeon except that it was brownish and with sickle claws  :P), but it was high time for an update, especially considering Deinonychus is my 2nd all-time favorite dinosaur.

I based this one on Scott Hartman's skeletal here. The tail ended up being too short, but other than that, quite happy with the way this one turned out!

Dilophosaurus wetherilli (Welles, 1954)

Based on TheSynopsis' skeletal here. The feathery coat is inspired by the BotM version's, which I think makes sense. Lovelace et al., 2020 support feathers on Coelophysis, and Dilophosaurus is also a basal member within Theropoda (even if more derived than Coelophysis), albeit considerably larger.

As for the color scheme, owing to Dinosaur King, I envision Dilophosaurus as being yellowish, so that's what I went for.  ;D The color scheme on the fluffy coat is inspired by a weasel's (Mustela nivalis), except that I went with black instead of brown.

These are great! I noticed you have a very organized, technical style in your sketches. 👍🏻 Keep it up bro

What a stylish little jacket Dilophosaurus has!
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.
