I strongly suspect that the Stegosaurotops started out as an ordinary Triceratops, but then some Hasbro higher-up said, "Nah, too boring, let's slap some plates and spikes on its back!"

And YUCK. The large T. Rex's dislocated mandible completely ruins it.

The Stegoceratops still looks like it has a Nasutoceratops face. Seems like they atleast got rid of the screwholes the older pics had.

Could the big Tyrannosaurus be another "Bull T-rex" retool?

Hasbro also totally needs to make a purple version of the Tyrannosaurus handpuppet, yeeeessss!
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Is it just me or do those raptors look more accurate than those from the films?

EmperorDinobot

I am outraged and feel insulted and disrespected by Hasbro.

I like Stegoceratops, which makes me feel...silly.

Not if the earlier pictures are still right.  Those earlier pictures of these particular raptors didn't have the toe claw.
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

Blade-of-the-Moon

If you compare all this new stuff to the items we got in 93' or even for TLW..the new stuff sucks.  The puppets don't even look like their film counterparts. Recall the old TLW puppets...those were so much more...MORE.

compared to this:

Those kids must have been paid..well.

EmperorDinobot

You know...you know what? I hate these. I hate them and love them and love to hate them. They are dinosaurs. They deserve my love, even if they are...well...not...um...the old. I feel bad for hating them, but it's like my ex. I hate her, ex is not the same, but I still love ex. Even though she's ex. Actually, this isn't even my ex, this is someone new, not as good, but hey.

Ok ok. I'll stop. But still, they suck, they could do so much better. I even wanna use this time to advertise and push my stuff out, but you know what? I don't even want to, since I have nothing new to show.

I just think we deserve better.

We have seen better. They have the potential to do better. Oh well, at least I'll have more $ to spend on my other projects, like shool and helping out.

Yeah, the puppets were better. EVEN THE FREAKING PUPPETS.

It's just... I'm...I'm pretty disappointed.

I noticed this too, the heads on these Velociraptor toys look more like a real Velociraptor's head than any of the JP/JW film ones and any previous JP Velociraptor toys.

Blade-of-the-Moon

The heads are a bit more elongated the Deinonychus head of the JP Raptors..not sure why..I doubt it was to increase to accuracy. Probably just another mistake that worked out this way.

Well dude, at least we will have Papo based in JW. This year or in even in 2 we will have an albino abelisaur, new mosasaur, dimorphodon or a baryonyx (if he appears in the final cut)

I wonder, the JP3 Pteranodon toys were toothless while the ones in JP3 incorrectly had teeth...

I wish they were somewhat articulated. But yeah. I quit hating Papo this year so might as well.

Anyone got a Papo Pachycephalosaurus?

That's a good question.

Maybe the ones in the film they decided to add teeth to so as to make them scarier...then added the bit about them being genetic oddities later? Or the teeth weren't visible on the production pieces Hasbro saw.

Blade-of-the-Moon

This was just shared at JPToys :

Paint certainly makes it look better.

Is that Ankylosaurus for real? Looks a lot better in those colors.

Could be. The teeth are only visible when the beak is open.

All of these are said to be final production pieces.
