Your paleoart is beautiful, and I absolutely agree with the statement about theropod legs. They are evil. I love how accurately you feathered your dinosaurs.
This is my signature.

Thanks! I always try and research dinosaurs' feathers well, because I'm sick of pop cult getting it wrong!

I got soooo angry at Jurassic World, though I have seen in five times, *cough*.  I was screeching at my friends about feathers.
Them: (scared and shrinking away.) "It's just a movie..."
Me: (Angry as a tyrannosaur trying to give a handshake) "THAT'S NO EXCUSE! IT'S LIKE DRAWING A DOG WITHOUT FUR!"

Hi, DTF, long time no see. DeviantART was giving me grief, which kind of coloured my view of the internet for a while, plus my university decided to pile work on me like nothing on Earth. Teaching's over now, and I'm planning to either change dA account or walk out on that *("^%& site for good, so I can start getting back on my online feet and trying to be more of a creative presence elsewhere.

So yeah. Here's a Dilophosaurus fishing at what I imagine is a sea inlet in a forest. This is quite a few months old now and I had the idea following a discussion on this forum. I'd link the thread, but it would probably take ages to find as it'll be buried under newer stuff now. Essentially, we were remarking on how this animal's jaws looked as if it might have been adapted to a piscivorous diet. The prey is a coelacanth. I wanted to do something more original, but I couldn't find much information on contemporary fish, so I went with our old Lazarus taxon friend and used images of modern Latimeria as my primary reference.

Hope you like! :)

Just to let anyone interested know that I moved to a new DeviantART account as I'd had on too many bad experiences on the old one. I'll probably link to that from now on as Photobucket is being a pain.

You can visit it here: http://stuff-by-tyto.deviantart.com/

I'll probably get a new Flickr too, but it's nearly midnight in my part of the world so that can wait for another day.

Doing a thing for 'Dinovember'. As I'm pretty tired right now, I'm just going to link to my dA journal with the details.

So far I've done headshots of Cryolophosaurus and Plateosaurus, which I will post on my dA and link here as soon as I can scan them.

First Dinovember pieces are up! I'm afraid I didn't get time to do today's, which will be Velociraptor mongoliensis, but I can hopefully make up for that tomorrow. ;)

These look really good. I especially like the cryolophosaurus. The only suggestion I could add is to keep going on them :) Add some more detailing and texture like you have going already on the mouth, eyes and feathers. :)
I'm seeking Orsenigo and other interesting vintage dinosaurs. Contact me if you can help with my search!

Thank you for the comment! I did actually ddd a lot more dtail than shows up on the scanned images, and personally I couldn't see a way to add anymore than that without making things overcrowded. But thank you for the suggestion anyway! :)

At this stage I'm pretty much resigned to not doing a complete Dinovember run, but I'll still try and draw as many dinosaurs as possible in honour of the month. :)

Drive by Merry Christmas art! Sorry I've been inactive here again - life has once more been busy. I'll get round to catching up on the threads later, but until the I wish everyone the best in the festive season. I know that many DTF users have had a hard time this year, and I would like to let you know that you are all in my thoughts. Hopefully a Centrosaurus in a Santa hat will give you something to smile about. :)

Killekor

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.
