That Ludodactylus reminds me of the AAA Pteranodon, which I'm thinking of submitting a review for on the blog....

Halichoeres

New Hell Creek ceratopsian. Turns out they're the predecessors to rhinos, not some wimpy little perissodactyl.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Newt

That's an amazing model. It looks like it should be guarding the entrance to some Bronze Age temple. And have gouts of flame coming from its nostrils.

Shonisaurus

I draw the attention of the "dimetrodon" and "triceratops" are those sold thirty-five years ago. At that time he was still very young.

That would work! It could be something out of chapter 9 of Revelation, too. One of those weird locusts of Abaddon or something.

Creationism confirmed! :o (Joke) I'd love to have that model and give it a really bronze-like, ancient statue finish. To me it looks a bit like a Chinese dragon or something you might see on one of those Mesopatamian wall paintings.

That one is just excited to hang out with the Schleich Dinosaurs and various Dragons.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Dinomike

Lol! Almost an elegant creature. But just almost! :)

I'm guessing you're referring to the Parasaurolophus.  That awful Schleich "Velociraptor" definitely belongs in this thread though!

I wouldn't say that the Schleich Velociraptor is "ugly", just inaccurate.

I wouldn't say that the Schleich Velociraptor is "ugly", just inaccurate.

It looks nothing like a Velociraptor, which is what it's being marketed as.  It's a rip-off of the JP franchise "Velociraptors".  Its unsightly head doesn't look like any known dromaeosaurid head and looks more like an allosauroid head.  It only has a row of short feathers on its arms which is an unrealistic feather arrangement that makes no sense.  Its hands hang lifelessly.  Its dewclaws are twisted out of place to prop it up.  Its skin seems to not be based on any kind of logic, constantly changing from scales to wrinkles.  It seems to have yellow pupils?  It reinforces very wrong beliefs about dinosaurs.  So, it's ugly in more than one way.

Somehow, each "Velociraptor" Schleich has made has looked nothing like a Velociraptor and each one has been uglier than the previous one.  It's fine to like them.  But, none of them look like a real animal, they all look like ugly toys.  The fact that it's clear Schleich hasn't cared about making these figures look like what they're marketed as, and instead is making inferior imitations of JP characters helps to make them ugly.
