Hi,

I started a week or so ago with a Paraceratherium in 1/15th scale, sculpted by Shane Foulkes. Sculpting is simply beautiful! I bought my copy at URZEITSHOP, delivery was fast within a few days.

After a base coat of Humbrol #61 for the under painting I started with shadows and highlights. Next step will be adding more details to the skin.

Hi,

I started the diorama. »Paul« will walk through the meander belt of a large river ... :-)

This is amazing! I am suprised noone replied so far. I am curious though, how do you make a base like that?

Hi,

I use floral foam which can be shaped easily. I seal it with either white glue or plaster. The problem here is that the model is rather heavy and I will have to use bolts or something else to fix it on its base. Give it a try and do a base yourself! Learning by doing, that´s how I do it, too! :-)

Bye!

Hi Shane,
First thanks for the great model of Paraceratherium!  I need to paint the grey skin this weekend ...

I bought it via their website. I thought it will be faster than Dans Dinosaurs to  Germany.  But good to know that you sell directly to customers as your Psittacosaurus is great, too.

Bye

This looks awesome. The base looks so realistic. I'm looking forward for the next steps and the result. It is exciting to follow a good work in progress.
