Hi there, I thought my latest passion, collecting dinosaur stamps, would fit best in the art section, dear admins, should there be a better place, feel free to move it  :)
A friend of mine opened a collectors´ shop half a year ago. And although I did not really want to widen my collecting mania, I could not help but buying some cool stamps...
Are there others around here who also collect dinosaur stamps?! Let´s see where this leads to...

Some from Korea

Some from Guyana, very Mark Hallet style

Guyana again, with recent animals, too

Some really strange ones from Manama, an enclace of the emirate Ajman

CityRaptor

Either Koreans are tiny or that is one big Triceratops.
And Hallet Style means ripped off.

I have a few stamps myself. Need to post them here at one point.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

stargatedalek

Is that the Kaiyodo dimetrodon?

Arul

You mean that Hallet ripoff? Yeah, maybe Kaiyodo took Hallet´s painting as a template.

:) Nice idea for a thread, Stefan. Here are some of my stamps:

I've been having these from Poland since my childhood:

                                                                                                    some from Cambodia:

two from Laos and one from Romania:

I couldn't resist buying these from England in the early 90s:

The only stamps I have are the set James Gurney painted for the US Postal Service some years ago.

Justin_

John Sibbick designed this set for the Royal Mail which were released back in 2013.

"designed to celebrate the 200 year history of paleontology in Britain and the discovery of a multitude of dinosaur remains in Britain by British paleontologists."

Libraraptor

Those British ones (Owen´s Dinosauria and that John Sibbick set) are very nice!

Time to share some new stamps.

Ah, the great Zdenek Burian!

Lesotho - interestingly, there´s no Lesothosaurus among them.

Halichoeres

Cool stuff! Commenting mostly so I can see when people show more.

This is my reliable source for all the stamps. My friend Ralf runs a stamps and coins - store in my area. He will ship worldwide, by the way. I can mediate if needed.

Indeed,...

... and I think most if not all of the Polish stamps posted by postsaurischian are copies of his work aswell?!

Gurney's stamps are fantastic, I really like when the stamps assemble to such a mural like picture.

Given North Korea doesn't allow contact with the outside world I highly doubt they produce stamps.

Halichoeres

There's definitely a North Korean postal service. It probably just employs more people than the postal service of other countries to read people's mail.

What do you mean by this? Should I have written "North Korean stamps"? Would this have changed anything?
Is there anything wrong in posting stamps from North Korea?

LophoLeeVT

That would be great! :) Can you maybe proof this in any way for me, since you´re from Korea?

Halichoeres

I think these are new for this year:

Canadian dinosaur stamps: Euoplocephalus, Chasmosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Struthiomimus, and Tylosaurus. Art by Julius Csotonyi!
