Hi,

I am finishing a T-rex for a friend.

Here are a few WIP snap shots of it.

Base color: beige with countershading

Adding a signal color (orange)

DK model is very beautiful, good luck for the project  :)

Nice! Looks really good so far. I really like the Krentz Rex. Wish I had the money for one.

That's cool. :)
Love the vivid colour on the rex!

Very nice start. I'm anxious to see the next steps :).

Thanks, indeed Krentz did a great job on this T-rex!

I will probably use black and blue grey on this one ... Bye!

Rathalosaurus

Dude, I very like Dinos and I cannot understand those who don't.

No!

....... or better: I hope not.

Finally an update. Sorry for the delay. I did some work on Trex and started a dioarama base, a dry river bed with laterite soils.

I had an idea of "reverse painting", that is to apply a coat of paint and then partially remove it and start all over it again. Some WIP:

All the best for 2017 for you and your familes! :-)

jooooo

It kind of looks like it has algae all over it at the moment. It's a cool effect though.

You should add on feathers if you can to make this model even cooler. Otherwise, great job. It looks absolutely incredible!

the model looks superb even without feathers

Great job with the choice of coloration and diorama base! If you were contemplating adding feathers, maybe some nicely placed display feathers along the tail and neck region to attract prospective mates. A young feathered tyrannosaur who grows to this size no longer has a problem of maintaining heat, but finding a way to dump it. Fewer feathers, if you choose to add them, makes scientific sense. Again, great job!

I agree with that. What will the colors look like when it is finished?
