" They sure were big.."

Which colors are you going to give him?

I did this mock up in Paint, it's too bright and no blending, but it's just to give me an idea :

I took inspiration from these :

Still debating the blue around the eyes.

Hmm. I like it. But it might work better with feathers..mine is going to have little to no feathers at this point. I was going to add some to the head and arms ..but the head is just way too high for me to reach easily to apply them now. The arms are within reach but would just some feathers on the arms look off with none on the rest of the body ?

I like the red on the head going to a golden brown on the body with light and dark patterns. I don't have a dino with so much red on it yet and it reminds me of the description of the Rex in the JP novel that had a blood red hide.

Exactly, this is " Suki " our sub-adult / juv. Suchomimus.   The differences are mostly in the skull and back when it comes to the majority of spinosaurs .

Here is an Irritator :

Our new Backyard Terror's Dinosaur Park postcards , 5 1/2" x 4 1/2" , 1.00 each  Can be shipped for 2.00 for all three.

My plan is to make them limited . We will make new ones from time to time to replace existing ones so as to make them collectible too.

I hope so. Really hoping people want to buy some so we can make our money back and build more in the Park.

New section of privacy fencing installed in the Dino Park..I think it looks much better. Also a pic of the in-progress Photo-Op building where kids can sit on a dino and parents can take their picture. We also started work on the fossil dig site " Dig It ! " where kids can excavate dinosaur fossils and learn about each one they uncover. We are now taking donations to help pay for it as well. You can add to our Gofundme page here : http://www.gofundme.com/357zus    Or paypal me at [email protected] I'll show some pics of our progress tomorrow along with what we are getting for it thanks to a great friend who gave us an awesome deal.

Reading through I imagined a Jurassic Park themed haunted house, with darkened rooms full of lurking Raptors.

I really like Good and Stuck, such a dynamic pose on the Ceratosaurus!   :D

Whose work, if any, do you prefer to use as guides for your drawings/models?

lol well that was an idea at point. Might be something we try in the future. A haunted Jurassic Park..worked well for Universal after all !

Thank you ! I rarely draw much more than diagrams anymore all my time is tied up in the Park now.. I really enjoyed doing a dead but still twitching Ceratosaur..and the whole situation has so much tension it.

I have developed an instant affinity for using Scott Hartman's skeletal designs. Though I have been inspired by so many artists..to name a few, Doug Henderson, John Sibbick,William Stout, Ricardo Delgado, the list could go on and on..lol

Very nice  ^-^

Thanks Boki, it just gives an idea of what I'm looking to do really. I'm currently asking Scott Hartman for permission to use his art on our signs and displays as well.

If anyone has any ideas I'm open to listen to them..you never know what might stick.  I'm building a prop shelf with interesting things Paleontologists use while looking for dinosaur bones. So far I have bags of plaster, burlap and dynamite.  Anything else that might be considered neat and cool ?
