Horns are always tough, because there's no way to know how far the keratin sheath extended past the bone core. The horns of mammals and the rhamphothecae (horn-like beak sheathes) of birds may extend several inches past the bone.

You could make the horns quite a bit bigger and still be within reason.

I'm extending it now, I'll post a pic in a sec.

Looking good! Ceratosaurus is, objectively, the best theropod, so this will be a great addition to the park!

Blade-of-the-Moon

lol thanks!  I would rather vote for say..Allosaurus, but Ceratosaurus is certainly cool enough too. I recall the first one I saw that made an impression was in Harryhausen's Animal World via View Master reels I have.

Need to get some donations rolling so I can get more wood for these next guy's bodies.  Me and the guys walked around the wooded area yesterday looking for areas to place the new dinos.  Looks like if I get around 5 of them to make this loop I'm going for they will be roughly 40-80' apart from each other. That will eventually be filled of course. I just hope it's not too much space between to open it up.

I'm even tempted to hold off on the Stegosaurus til we get more smaller guys made for this expansion. I don't know. He needs around 300.00 in wood to build, then wire, even at 30' not bad. We can probably do him for 500.00 .

Bear in mind that not all Stegosaurus reached that length. The largest species, S. armatus, was 9m/30ft, but the best known and most commonly used in models, illustrations and pop cult is S. stenops, which averaged at 7m/22ft.

This is to be our last BIG dino for awhile so I wanted to go with the largest size possible. I already have the head sculpted and few of the smaller plates so far.

I did get an update from Brandon about our Aquilops :

Soon to be seen in our Park and your own home if interested!

Lookin' good, Blade! The Crocodilian colour scheme really brings it to life - he's so realistic and scary looking.

Very cool, a natural and realistic colour scheme. Looks very menacing as well.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Thanks guys! The coloration is part shark part monitor lizard...a similar one was used on Dinamation's Tylosaurus from back in the 90's and I was a big fan of it.

This guy looks big here, but wait til you see him in the exhibit. He appears HUGE! We did some tests and when that head starts moving in the dark with only the simulated water lighting on..it's EPIC! lol

That looks great Blade!!

Thanks Doug, it's great when something works out. I do a little planning but some times some aspects turn out better than others. lol

Thanks man! "Conrad" looks even more cool in person with all the lighting on him. I'll do my best to get a video of it when we're ready.  I have to shoot some for a commercial for the exhibit anyway..Patrick aka Patrx is helping us with that. :)

What an interesting color choice on the mosasaur! And I can imagine the Apato being quite the challenge for painting?

Yeah she's being a beast..lol We're going to have to find funds to rent a mobile platform for painting..probably a few hundred bucks. :/
