That is gonna be monumental!
It would be neat if you could have the head curved down as much as it could like it's looking at the teeny little mammals gathered under its paws.

It would make things easier construction-wise..but I'm not really sure how much they could lower their heads?   You might lose that impressive "stately" air Brachs have too.   I recall that was one issue with Safari/Carnegie's newest Brachio sculpt.

OH MY......

I don't know how you are going to do THAT but if you manage ti.....It would be EPIC!

Personaly I will go with the first two skeletons. And don't forget about the skull, do not give it a Giraffatitan one!

By the way, the Spinosaurus is AWESOME.

We are planning things now, I'm just building research material. So far i think it seems possible.

Can you point me to some comparisons?  In the skeletals above they look pretty similar.

Thank you!  ^-^
Did you ask me about the skull of the skeletons in general?
If it is about the skull:
From left to right, Camarasaurus, Brachiosaurus and Giraffatitan

If it is about the later I said the first two because of their neck posture, because the last two have periscope necks and the last one seems to have more Giraffatitan-like traits. I think it does not matter which skeleton you follow but IMO I would go with the neck posture of the Hartman one.

Pachyrhinosaurus

I'm no expert on sauropods necks, but I'd say the second and fourth skeletals are your best choice since they allow for more muscle to hold the neck up.

Appalachiosaurus

You can't go wrong with Scott Hartman.

The fourth is Giraffatitan, not Brachiosaurus.

I'd go with either Scott Hartman's restoration or Nima's.

Sorry, I was referring to the skull  shape.  Thank you!

I do like how much info Nima has on there.  Scott does do a lot of work as well though.

Maybe Nima's with a thicker neck base?

I suppose I could just go with Giraffatitan too?

That's going to be magnificent! I'd like to see you stick with Brachiosaurus proper, since most "Brachiosaurus" restorations out there are G. brancai. And they had to be able to lower their heads - how else could they drink?

Waterfalls?  lol   Im sure they could, just a bit torn between which pose.

Thanks for the link!

Appalachiosaurus

I don't recommend Nima's, it is way to 90s esc. In fact, I wouldn't trust any of his skeletals. He has a tendency to oversize and to fill in missing parts with pure speculation.

Blade-of-the-Moon

well that's disappointing. would have been great to have many parts to scale with each other.  :/

has anyone made any fleshed out reconstructions of Hartman's Brach? 2D or 3D.

I was just thinking it'd be a shame not to be able to see your work on the head.

Thanks bud, I appreciate that!

You should have the neck elevated at least a little more than in Scott's skeletal, as he poses their necks in a very conservative posture (and has said so himself), and that is probably not how they held their necks in life the majority of the time.

Hmmm..it's also walking and the neck could be more forward because of that.  I'm probably going to build the legs in a stationary standing pose like with the Apatosaurus, makes it more stable.

I'm not very computer savvy ...anyone care to make a mod of Scott's skeletal for me? One with the neck back more another with it looking down?

Blade-of-the-Moon

Spotted our momma Spinosaurus fishing near the river today..she seems to be enjoying all the rain and humidity we've had recently.

Flaffy

Are all the dinosaurs water proof? I hope they don't catch a cold playing in the rain.  :))

Thank you! took a lot of effort to bring 3 larger pieces to life this year.  I'll pass on the praise to my friends as well who lend a helping hand.  ;D
