Blade-of-the-Moon

We finally got some rain last night but it knocked the power out around midnight..after awhile  I decided to go out and survey the " Park " which led to some terrifying encounters !

Near the pond I ran into the juvenile Spinosaurus..it must have been fishing in the rain :

He seemed to get quite aggravated so I backed off and continued on :

I made it to the herbivore area and set my lantern down to check my camera :

WOAH ! :

Even the herbivores are active tonight !

I ran from the Juvenile Brachiosaur straight into the Styracosaurus !

Whew ! Well after that I started heading back by way of the Raptor enclosure...bad idea.

I just barely made it back inside and locked the door. I'll let the other staff take care of that problem later.. :lol

Meso-Cenozoic

Haha! That was fun!

Chris, how do they generally hold up in the rain and all?

Thanks bud ! It was fun to do..just something to keep me occupied while all the power was out.. ;D

They hold up about well as a solid plastic dinosaur toy would in different weather conditions..rain doesn't really hurt them. Snow and the resulting weight could be an issue but I do my best to make sure they are very secure.  I just cross my claws and hope a tree doesn't fall on them is the worst I can imagine.

Little Yangchuanosaur I finally got around to building and painting :

Wow, very impressive work and collection you go there! I'm super impressed, wish I could see them all in person.
Ha ha, your Spino and my repainted one have very similar paint scheme ;) I have not posted any of my repaints yet ;D

Thanks Boki ! Your more than welcome to stop by anytime your in the neighborhood..same for any DTF member. :)

Well at least I didn't copy it eh ? lol   I was building him around fall..the green going to orange and red was everywhere...I can't really explain why such a young juvenile is so bright..maybe it's false warning colors ?

Gorgo paint update , very minor detailing left :

Meso-Cenozoic

Total bad-ass, Chris! Really like the subtle striping and shading. Color choices are nice and unique too.

Wait a minute... Are those little protofeathers I see on his arms?   Cool! 8)

Thanks bud ! That they are..after some consideration I couldn't let her go totally featherless..lol

The coloration and patternsI took from several sources, James Gurney, Shane's Torvo , and this model I built of a favorite anime character awhile back :

Gryphoceratops

Thank you very much ! It was very hard to decide on a paint scheme even a  color palette but I'm pretty well satisfied.  For whatever reason this one has taken almost twice as long as the Brachiosaur, but  I do think it's the best one I've done yet.

Expect more pics soon !

More pics :

Noticed while taking pics..a little dinosaur had decided to make the back of the mouth his roost for the night :

Himmapaan

Hats off, Chris. Really great work; one of your best, I think.

That's incredible about that bird!  :D

Thanks bud ! I think so as well. Here's hoping the next one is as good..but it's hard to beat a tyrannosaur..lol

Yeah, pretty cool !

Meso-Cenozoic

OMG, there is a little bird back there! Maybe like baby crocodilians, he feels safe back there in mommy's mouth, lol.
