Beautiful. Best part is it's 100% fungus free >:D
Huh? Have the other ones had fungus on them?

Haha! I think that's a reference to the Rebor version. Which IMHO is beautiful.  :)

EDIT: Oh, didn't see you answered his question Dinomike, my apologies :P
She's making a distasteful remark about the Rebor Ceratosuarus. Here, see for yourself. She believes the osteoderms on the back look a bit like fungus

Actually, they kind of do look like fungus. Those big tropical tree-climbing ones.

Yes, how dare anyone make a joke about our holy Rebor ::) This is making me start to dislike this company, because their fans seem to think their toys are untouchable and above everything else.

Seriously, it's just a bit of fun. God knows worse things have been said about other companies and their toys. On other forums I have seen people call toys "pieces of s***" and the like.

Btw I'm not the only one. BotM also agreed with me. Heck even the Rebor rep HIMSELF had a laugh about it.

My my, didn't you wake up on the wrong side of the bed today. I didn't disagree with you nor did I bash you. In fact, I agree they do look like fungus. Distasteful remark as in you aren't fond of it...
But no, go ahead and making an offensive joke about me and crucify me for your misunderstanding...Nice one.

If that was your intent then I apologise. I was wrong, sorry. I often misunderstand things.

Will you accept my apology? I don't want to fall out with anyone again.

I hope that isn't sarcasm  :-\ But if it isn't then yes of course, no worries.

Fluffysaurus

Sideshow looks beautifull too! But to much for
My wallet :).
My Fluffy is red.
My beaky is green.
I am the cutest Fluffysaurus you have ever seen!

DinoLord

This guy has a nice snarl! I look forward to seeing more pics; this may well be the first Sideshow I shell out for in some years...

I dont much get into most theropods , so this begs a question for me. I remember reading someone stating the raptors in Jurassic world, would have been more closely related to birds than dinosaurs and as such would not have had facial muscles, and would not have been able to snarl as seen in the movie. Is this a unique trait to raptors or would by association other theropods have suffered this same issue? I cannot imagine a large theropod without facial muscles however I am curious what the science here is....
Authors with varying competence have suggested dinosaurs disappeared because of meteorites...God's will, raids by little green hunters in flying saucers, lack of standing room in Noah's Ark, and palaeoweltschmerz—Glenn Jepsen

Viking Spawn

That initial image did not look all that great to me.  I think it is simply the angle the photo was taken and the lighting.

But after reviewing all of the other photos on the SS website, oh boy!  This is indeed a beautiful release on their part!  If anyone is undecided, you definitely need to see all of the other photos since that first one simply doesn't do this justice IMO!

I would imagine this would be true for all dinosaurs, just as it's not only true for birds today but all species of reptile. In fact, the clade sauropsida literally means "lizard face" and includes everything will traditionally consider reptiles but also archosaurs and thus birds as well.

Patrx

From what I am aware the lips/no lips controversy regarding theropods is pretty much unresolved due to lack of data. Palaeoartist Tyler Keillor discusses the matter in this article. Biomechanics specialist Jaime A. Headden has written about the matter here and here, specifically regarding Velociraptor and tyrannosaurs. For myself, I tend to lean toward lips for all nonavian theropods. Modern theropods all have keratinous beaks, which don't tell us much about their ancestral condition, and crocodilians, the only other living archosaurs, are all so heavily specialized that their integument could be totally unique among archosaurs.
Certainly I don't think any archosaur would have had flexible, muscular lips like a mammal. Mammal lips (and facial muscles) appear to have evolved for suckling milk.

stargatedalek

Depending on how one defines "lips", I would consider it a near certainty among any non-billed dinosaurs. I perceive "lips" as "the teeth are not visible when the mouth is closed", following this all non-aquatic and/or non-billed animals alive today have "lips".

I agree, the base for this Cerato looks amazing.

Shonisaurus

The ceratosaurus Sideshow is by far the best replica ceratosaurus made to date. Let Rebor ridiculous.

Of course are the parts of Sideshow overpriced, but at the same time is a big investment in money and in good taste.
