What do you think about the Collecta Bistahieversor? I like the feathers.

So it's 1/20 scale. I will get the Postosuchus in the mail soon so I will be able to see how it scales up.

I've never been a massive fan of the CollectA dinosaur designs, of course I appreciate that they are meant to be scientifically accurate, and that they are very well sculpted. I just don't like them very much.
Walking With Beasts is the best palaeo media documentary and no one can persuade me otherwise.

The other day I ordered the British Museum set of a Diplodocus and a Kentrosaurus by Toyway. I should be coming the day after tomorrow but I will check the shipping.

I wish that Toyway itself made a WWD Diplodocus based off the one from WWD and sold with the other figures. Too bad they didn't do that. But I will be getting a British Museum version so that's something.

Okay, which toy Bistahieversor do you like best?

There don't seem to be many examples of this species in figure form but if I had to choose it would probably be the Favorite Bistahieversor, although I'd prefer if it had a slightly less blue body.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned these (here) yet, but I just kind of stumbled upon these while browsing different species of marine reptiles (such as Liopleurodon): https://toyanimal.info/wiki/Quick

They have figures of the Diplodocus, Liopleurodon, Rhamphorhynchus, and Tyrannosaurus. If I had to guess these would also be pretty hard to find and/or get these days. I think it is also particularly interesting that they made a figure of the podlet Diplodocus, and not the adult.

Good call to mention them here in passing. They aren't Toyway but they are official WWD. B @Bokisaurus did a special review of these on the Dinosaur Toy Blog, well worth checking out: http://dinotoyblog.com/2017/12/25/walking-with-dinosaurs-miniature-set-quick-bbc/

avatar_DinoToyForum @dinotoyforum Thank you for sharing that review. They really are quite the fascinating set of figures.

These are very unofficial, but the Jakks Pacific Scanopedia line made for Discovery Kids has some color schemes inspired by WWD. Check out that Othnielia and Rhamphorhynchus:

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres I was about to post those, after finding those on the Toy animal wiki too. Pretty cool how much actually got made using their color schemes, both unofficial and official merch.

Boxed Diplodocus and Kentrosaurus

There they are! And they're standing with me! At about 1:40 scale!

Headshot

And at that moment, I realized how cute my Kentrosaurus really is!

Shonisaurus

Honestly it is by far (in my personal opinion) superior the kentrosaurus to the diplodocus by far.

I'm looking for some setting and scale ideas for some dioramas. Any suggestions would be appreciated, but for now you can enjoy this set of paleo art I have been making. I used the Kaiyodo Lystrosaurus, unbranded Euchambersia, unbranded millipede, Safari Euparkeria, and Safari Proterosuchus. As you can see, I make model paleo art.

"Hunting Euchambersia"

"Therocephalian Prey"

"Lystrosaurus Migration"

"Proterosuchus Resting"

"Euparkeria Chase"

"Euparkeria Resting"

I did those creatures because they are all creatures from the Early Triassic segment in Walking with Monsters.

What about the Schleich Dinogorgon to pose as a Gorgonops from WWM or the Safari Scutosaurus and the Safari Postosuchus looks very similar to the Toyway one.

I have the Schelich Gorgonops and the Safari Scutosaurus. They do look nice together but the Gorgon is 1:15 and the Scuto is 1:30. Again the Gorgon could be large for its kind and the Scuto could be small or its kind. I'm thinking about making Mesozoic pictures first because I don't have very many Cenozoic or Paleozoic figures so I will collect while I'm taking these. So, got any ideas for scale or species?

The Schleich Allosaurus and painted Invicta Diplodocus or Brachiosaurus go quite well together.
