Remember that Papo!
Good choice ...

:D

anchry6

I remember:
This is the thinking of many in here: if the Papo dinosaurs would do exact ... it would be great.
In the old forum we had made a request of two dinosaurs (a carnivore and an herbivore) and Papo accomodated us with a "Ankylosaurus" ... (Ok not really a Ankylosaurus). So I'm going to try to remake a similar request.
The goal is to choose two dinosaurs (or any other animal you want) people can do Papo company for next year.
Many might say that the year has just begun .. which is not still out even the "Brachiosaurus" ... (Ok well this is not a Brachiosaurus but Giraffatitan :-))
But what I have in mind is not the same old topic ... but it is a job much longer. So, we'll take a few months.
This is the roadmap (I accept criticism):
1) who is interested can put up to 3 dinosaur names (or other) in this topic as a possible choice. (10/05)
2) will be written all the choices and put in a list. You can vote two dinosaurs (or similar). The first carnivorous dinosaur and the first herbivore dinosaur will be proposed to Papo. (25/05)
3) Once selected you can make drawings or brief scientific researches for dinosaurs as we want them. (25/06)
4) I wish a group (possibly of paleontologists) did a summary of what is written in the month from people and wrote a short paper on things to do and avoid to make a scientifically accurate dinosaur. Also I would like him to sign the document (if possible). (25/06)
5) I write an email to say what we want to Papo (step 2) and some tips on how to make it (paragraph 3) leaving the flexibility for Papo. In addition, I will send: the scientific paper, and some drawings to explain how we would like the dinosaurs. (30/06)
Then...
...You can vote two dinosaurs (or similar). The first carnivorous dinosaur and the first herbivore dinosaur will be proposed to Papo.
P. S.:
You can change your vote if you change your mind.
After 25 new votes will not be taken into account.

Megalosaurus

I vote for:
Megalosaurus & Therizinosaurus
Sobreviviendo a la extinción!!!

CityRaptor

Voting for Dracorex and Giganotosaurus. Papo's Versions of them should be interesting.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Wildheart

Carnotaurus and Masiakasaurus would love to see those 2  ::)

Carnotaurus and Amargasaurus for me. The former seems to be a given by now. :)

Himmapaan

Oh, folks are always going for the obvious.  :P ;D

I commend your second choice, Roselaar.  ;)

Now I kinda wish I would've thrown Diatryma in there...

Carnotaurus & Dracorex, btw.

ZoPteryx

I voted for Therizinosaurus and Shonisaurus.  I know they're not the most likely, but they'd be really cool! :D

I have a problem:
I was dividing the list into two categories and found: 17 carnivorous and 21 herbivorous. But I have find also 4 omnivorous.
So I decided to put together 4 omnivores to carnivores so the two subsets are equals (21 herbivores; 21 carnivores and omnivores) and will then be chosen for any one subsets.
Below there is the detail:

H=herbivore
C=carnivore
?=Omnivore

Amargasaurus                            H
Apatosaurus                               H

Brontosaurus (old Apatosaurus)    H

Tell me if there are errors or improvements to be

Thank's

I chose two Ceratopsia because for now are the group that Papo does best.
I chose Diabloceratops and Protoceratops because I think that would be able to make them scientifically accurate. If you think like me, you vote at least one Ceratopsia (from the 4 which they are).

Agreed. I chose Chasmosaurus, because I know that Papo will do the model justice.  A Protoceratops would also make a great choice. On a side note, isn't Wild Safari releasing a Pentaceratops in 2013?

I also chose Giganotosaurus, because Papo has a firm track record of delivering exceptional therapods (Papo's Green Running T-rex model is second to none), although they are not very scientific.  However, since there are no movie depictions of Giga (at least, as far as I'm aware), they may be forced to make a realistic representation...

CityRaptor

Aside from various documentaries, there is the Primeval Giga. And the Dino Crisis one.

I wonder why they are winning between carnivores: Giganotosaurus and carnotaurus that are already well done by Carnegie Collection. Someone can give me an explanation?

Just because you say things doesn't make it true! ;D Safari doesn't usually release any information at all until late summer at best--and never makes it public until November.

It is rather obvious: As well done as they are, people want to see how they look in Papo Style.

Megalosaurus

Papo Carnotaurus is likely to be Disney like.  :)) Just kidding.

CityRaptor is right. I would like to see MORE and MORE amazing paposaur figures. The only papo one that i HATE is the Tylosaur  *yuck* .

anchry6 for the omnivores, I believe Therizinosaurus should be listed with the herbivores.
