Blade-of-the-Moon

Were you bound and determined to remove it from the base it needn't be so hard. I'm assuming there are pegs and that it is glued in.  All one need do is remove all the excess base with a hobby knife or have a parent help.  Heat it up a bit first and it should cut rather well. The material these are of becomes pretty soft with heat, i figured that out while modifying a couple Guidraco.

Makes sense to me, Blade-of-the-Moon. However I am afraid of customizing because I have zero experience. Also I´m still debating if I will get the feathered T.rex someday. Although I still have some complaints about it, it has grown on me. :)

Anyway, moving on to the 2016 stuff...I don't know when I would be able to get some of these once they are out. My list of wanted figures just becomes bigger and bigger..... Thankfully I have just received some money from my grandparents, but I have other things to pay and I have to save up money for other activities.....Arrrggggg.....Damm it :( :'(

That's very strange, Blade, sorry to hear it. Me, I can tweak tweak and nudge Firestreak all day and he won't fall over---unless I were to nudge him right off the side of the dresser.

I'd do any customizing for those felt it was worth the time and money.

The quirks of materials. I was told once materials aren't to blame it's always the artist's fault.  I've continually discovered otherwise.  Maybe my house is tilted..lol

triceratops83

T rex corpse, hunting T rex, Metriacanthosaurus and deluxe Beishanlong are all available at Minizoo.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Concavenator

Someone really needs to get a Beishanlong and post some pics 😙

CMIPalaeo

I suppose there's no telling yet when the new figures will be out at Everything Dinosaur? I reeeeeally want that Beishanlong (and honestly Metriacanthosaurus has been growing on me a lot too) but the US$ prices at MiniZoo are pretty high and I imagine shipping would be too. Everything Dinosaur tends to have lower prices (especially on standard CollectA figures) but I'm gonna have a hard time waiting...

Fauna Figures won't have this til probably the end of the year, huh?
Once a man is tired of dinosaurs, he is tired of life; for there is in a dinosaur all that life can afford.

I'm working on it...the distributor has a new owner, but I don't know if that's going to help... :-\

But I haven't given up yet!

Stuckasaurus (Dino Dad Reviews)

I can't wait for the Deinocheirus and Struthiomimus! Ornithomimids are the one glaring omission in my collection, and it would be nice to have one. With feathers, no less! I can forgive the lack of primaries since there are so few options otherwise.

We need pics lf the Toy Fair where we can see the models from more angles

Neon-Allo

I'm so happy that ornithomimids are being added!!!

You shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet.

Here's a possible Mesozoic scenario: Mother T-Rex (added for scale reference) comes home late and finds Torvosaurus viciously mauled one of the kids, with the other one running to its fallen sibling's aid. Mercuriceratops looks on and is glad it wasn't him killed.

Decent new sculpts.
The dead Rex is superb. Gory and detailed. Don't like the white stripe on this one though.
The hunting Rex is less impressive, particularly compared with its Deluxe counterpart. It also has a bit of a glossy feel to it, but is otherwise properly detailed, though the base needed more work (darn plants aren't even coloured!).
The larger Torvosaurus sculpt is good, but not stellar. Its head feels off and its posable jaw doesn't work as nice as most other Collectasaurs with this function. The base is quite cheap for a Deluxe figure, more work should have been made of that. I quite like the paint job of the dinosaur though.
The Mercuriceratops is a fun addition to Collecta's range of wonderful Ceratopsians with wacky heads. It's the same size as the Xenoceratops. It doesn't appear the body is a resculpt. The paint job is quite bland though. My picture doesn't do it justice anyway, that's bright blue on the head if you started to wonder.

Can take more pictures if requested.

Nice! the standard does work well as a juvenile T- rex.

I'd really like to see some extra photos of the torvosaurs; particularly of the mouth when closed, and another angle of the head. It does look kind of odd, but I'm not sure what shape Torovosaurs' head is supposed to be...

I think that still works. Looks like one of Scott's skeltals I have.

Ask and ye shall receive. Plus another pic of the Mercuriceratops. Again, not a very good one. Can't use flash or it will annihilate the colour scheme. Gotta say, the Torvosaur's throat didn't seem so bad but with this close-up... yikes!

The mercuriceratops from my humble point of view is seen with more realistic than other figures ceraptosidos of Collecta colors.
By the way if it is the same size as the xenoceratops is good news. reasonable size.
On the other hand I'm pointing that tyrannosaurus rex Collecta are great but I do not like their colors as garish. The Torvosaurus is painted a much more conservatively, but I do sincerely like best. By the way I am glad that these figures do not have removable bases as with Rebor.

Ooh, I much prefer it with the mouth nearly closed... Thanks for the extra pictures... is it just the angle or are the legs and feet quite small compared to the rest of the body?
