I was wondering if someone could give me an estimate that I should be selling the Carnegie Diplodocus for? I saw that on Amazon it was going for $2,000 and was thinking that wasn't very realistic. If this is in the wrong spot one of the admins could move this post or just send me a message with an answer and delete this. I'm just dying to know now.

I'm not sure why that seller is charging so much for the Carnegie Diplodocus on Amazon but most listings on eBay are asking between $30-50. There is even a BIN for 30-something bucks with free shipping.

I've been following a couple on UK ebay recently just out of interest, and they both went for under £10.  If they're fetching $2000 somewhere, then mine is in serious trouble  ;)

I suspect that if you gave this seller $2000 they would end up having to issue a refund. I think third party sellers on Amazon sometimes change the prices on discontinued items to insane figures rather than delete the listings altogether, perhaps on the off chance that it becomes available again.

More or less in accordance with what others have told you, I sold one not long ago and it went for a bit over $30.

Even the first, long-retired version can easily be had for $15-20 on eBay.
