That is a real pity.
The Spinosaurus looks fabulous.
Fingers crossed.

Silvanusaurus

Oh god... they're so beautiful... surprisingly I think my favourite of those is the Ichthyosaur. I hope they work something out.

danmalcolm

Nothing good can last... really hope they release the spinosaurus. it's the best I've ever seen. Wilson is the best tyrannosaurus I've ever seen. I'm also counting on PNSO for a good gigantoraptor! I feel bad for such a genius being treated so poorly.

Watch as PNSO becomes yet another "chinasaur" producing company with hideous looking dinosaurs made with toxic materials if Zhao doesn't return, that is if he let in the first place.

I personally was rather disappointed with Wilson and Dolyle comparing the mass produced product with the original sculpt. Was not a fan of the sloppy paint job and devil eyes.
Seeing how Dolyle contrasted so much to it's original coloration I'm honestly not surprised with the huge dip in paint quality with the Yangchuanosaurus VS Chungkingosaurus and the Spinosaurus.

I hope PNSO gets their shenanigans together and produce high quality figures. Otherwise best wises to Zhao and hope he finds a good partner to work with.

Acro-man could you provide me with the link to the former PNSO employee's post? I would like to read what they said directly. Thanks  :)

Shonisaurus

Well, that's not good news, spinosaurus was the best thing ever done. I had had illusions with PNSO but it seems that it will be in hand. Although there may be some hope.

It's a shame they stop making this dinosaur company and it disappears.  :-[  :(

Sorry, FlaffyRaptors. There is no such a post. We talked about it in our QQ group called Dinosaur Models Discussion Group.
You can join us if you search by the number 50353221 in QQ and chat with everybody in Chinese.
Zhao Chuang is here too but he rarely speaks, like, once in a year.

I wonder if the management team of PNSO ever visits this forum, because if they do they will realize that this is going to seal the fate of their new company and this brand (relatively speaking, compared to established companies like Papo and Schleich, Safari etc.)

In this world, there is an infinite supply of artists and sculptors that lack talents and say yes to whatever the management and accountant of the business want, which often may not help the business and brand grow in the long run. To survive and establish one's brand a company must establish its "niche" - it's unique position in consumers heart that no other companies can replace. This is essentially why We see PNSO not just as another figure toy company like Papo or Schleich. This is also why we are willing to pay a little more for PNSO products than other generic toy companies products - because Zhao Chuang has a vision and his works has that kind of a specialness to it. You can not find another artist to duplicate that kind of excitement among fans and collectors.

It's time for PNSO to really think hard for its future in the long run. There are lots of examples in the business world. Just look at Apple Inc. every investor understood the day Apple lost Steve Jobs, that the company will never be the same. Look at Yahoo!, a company once dominated Internet search engine business, now has reduced to almost nobody. It is almost always due to a series of business strategy mistakes by the management. It's easy to be nearsighted to focus on immediate profit gains and forget about putting in the investment and more importantly, time, in building a global brand that would last for decades.

In this case, Zhao Chuang can just move on to other enterprises and keep making what he has been always passionate about. I doubt at this point he would have a hard time finding new investors and financial backers, after the initial successes of PNSO he helped to build up... It is PNSO that is going to lose out in this end. At best, the company will last a few more years. But considering in the harsh competitive environment of China, maybe much sooner.

:o  Wow! I'd really like to have this Ichthyosaurus. It's the best one I've ever seen! Such a pity.

But I'm sure we will hear from Zhao Chuang soon. No doubt about that.

Finally got around uploading pictures of Wilson and Doyle.
They can be found in my collection thread here:
http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=5276.msg175638#msg175638

Really really hope that Wilson and Doyle will not be my last figures by Mr Zhao.
I need the Spino, Giga and Amargasaurus badly.

ZoPteryx

That's a shame.  Hopefully PNSO's issues will be resolved soon, those models are gorgeous looking!

terrorchicken

I feel bad for those of you who liked the figures and were able to acquire them.  I neither could afford most of them as well as being just too difficult to obtain when I still have many other dino models that are easier for me to get in the USA. But I do hope the company doesnt go the way of Schleich or those Chinese Rebor knockoffs for the sake of those of you who were fans.

Does anyone have the mini figures from PNSO?

Thew new ones, or the old batch? I have some of the latter and I can highly recommend them.

I have three that I bought a forum member and are very beautiful are kosmoceratops, kentrosaurus and archaeopteryx and I can assure you that in no way differ in quality to the dinosaurs miniatures of Safari, Collecta or Favorite to cite three examples

I sincerely recommend them to any forum member even more than now it seems that unfortunately it is going to take a dramatic turn of the PNSO company, from what I have heard and I have commented.

I didn't realize there were different series, they all look pretty good!

Slightly bigger than Kaiyodo Dinotales miniatures.
No specific scale.

About the models
These photos I shot weeks ago.
I won't recommend it because the detail is quite moderate and the paint not very good, and price very high.
And I highly doubt they are designed by Zhao Chuang.
The box also contains a book with stamps and beautiful illustrations and knowledge of dinosaurs in China in both Chinese and English, which is the most glittering part of it.

About purchase
Price is $45 + $10 for commission fee plus shipping
Anyone who insists on getting one can PM me.
You can also find them easily on Ebay by searching "PNSO".
They have been there for more than 1 month...

Lastly
I will give my personal ranking for your reference:

PNSO miniature 1st wave - 6 babies
4 stars :)
(The details are superb, even better than the 2nd wave. It is the one-color paint that made people think it's cheap.)

PNSO miniature 2nd wave - 18 minis
5  stars ^-^

China Post 7 Little Dinosaurs
3 stars :(
(actually, nobody buys it for its low value in China...)
