Is what you've been saying: most of Schleich's dinosaurs and pterosaurs are super inaccurate, but most of Schleich's marine reptiles aren't?

Oops, I meant to say "prehistoric marine animals" instead of "marine reptiles", mostly due to Dunkleosteus not being a reptile.

Shonisaurus

The dunkleosteus is ugly but compared to other figures Schleich does today is the least bad. In short, when it comes to prehistoric marine animals, it is less inaccurate and bad and even acceptable within the bad (elasmosaurus or kronosaurus) than in respect to other prehistoric creatures that honestly give much to be desired except for some exception (if any).

Man, we can exclude from my point of view the scarlet kentrosaurus, current stegosaurus and pentaceratops

Clearly!!!!!!!!!!

I have the Penta, and it's a fantastic figure, i've repainted it. I'm also searching the new stego.

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

I find the Schleich Kronosaurus is among Schleich's worst prehistoric figures actually.  It's very inaccurate and off-looking like many of Schleich's dinosaurs.  I don't have the figure, but its smooth-looking skin looks nice though.

I thought the same until some time ago.
Then, as a (completist) collector, I bought the old Schleich Kronosaurus a couple of months ago to complete my ReplicaSaurus bunch..
I have to say that it's quite good in person.
Not accurate but quite good.
Probably you should see it with your eyes.
Pictures (even my pictures  ;) ) don't give it justice...

Sim

Thanks for the thought, RobinGoodfellow.  I'm sure seeing the Schleich Kronosaurus in person wouldn't make me think it was better, since I can see in photos how it's inaccurate and off-looking.  It's the figure's head that's really a problem for me.  I've always disliked it and thought it doesn't look right for a pliosaur's head.  Reading Dr Admin's review of the figure confirmed what I had been thinking.

..well, if accuracy is your main focus then the Schleich Kronosaurus isn't your figure at all...

Poor Raptor is pretty plucked looking, isn't it?
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

It is logical that I do not buy such figures I have seen them in the stores and they are horrible, especially the brachiosaurus and the utahraptor and eye! Here the allosaurus is not named which I believe is even worse than its predecessor.

The stegosaurus inside the bad can happen. I know that I am always very hard on Schleich but unfortunately his products are not intended for collectors, and I sincerely prefer if I had children buy dinosaurs from "play mobil" to those figures.

I apologize to the moderator and even to the company Schleich if I exceeded my words. Although I do not sympathize with the Schleich brand and I practically do not like it although year after year I renew frustrated I think it deserves a respect and it does not come to mind for my part what I have commented.

My apologies to the moderator Blade-of-Luna.

The Playmobil Dinosaur ranges are a high quality product aimed at a young market and provide a safe and fun toy for children. If you are an adult collector of accurate figures why even mention this range except to disparage another company's products. Some people seem unable to realise that these are mass market toys...the number of children that have toy dinosaurs at some stage in their childhood dwarfs the adult collector market many times over!

In no way despise the products of "Play Mobil" I consider them highly educational. I simply wanted to comment that Schleich's products that are obviously intended for children, unfortunately from my humble point of view are far from genius and products that are intended to educate children.

I absolutely did not want to insult anyone but I honestly do not think you understood what I meant. I do not belittle the products of "Play Mobil" that by the way almost fifty years ago were my favorite toys, and that they were educational, what obviously critical is the Schleich products whose figures do not serve to educate and that are repetitive. I think he has exceeded his appreciation. I agree that there are children who have toy dinosaurs without being collectors can be the happiest people in the world and their collection is more valuable if you allow me that of collectors not only toys but stamps, paintings or works of art .

Anyway, as I said, I apologize. And in no way did my comments go to the "Play Mobil" company of decades of experience in the toy industry and with continued years of success. As I said I am simply referring to the figures of Schleich whose products leave much to be desired and whose manufacturers I am absolutely sure that if they proposed would make comparable figures of collecting even to other leading companies in the toy industry in relation to dinosaurs and prehistoric animals And whose figures I have to be sincere give alas much to be desired.

Summing up I apologize to all the people that I have offended was not my intention, it is more just pretend to address to the other members of the forum with respect and education and when I see that I screw up for making a comment or something unfortunate I can only ask for forgiveness .

And, everyone in the forum criticizes Schleich.  It's a good, common practice as Schleich could learn from the ongoing constructive criticisms and develop as a company (assuming Schleich truly cared).
