I'm 99 percent sure that all Schliech care about is making a profit which to be fair is the reason the company exists. My son has some Schliech dinosaurs plus penguins and bears my middle daughter collected over a 100 of their animal figures.

Everything_Dinosaur

The first of the new for 2017 Schleich models are now in stock at Everything Dinosaur, namely the Utahraptor, Brachiosaurus and the Allosaurus.  Have put them into the New Arrivals category for the moment: Everything Dinosaur Home Page with new models

Turret

Thanks for the update ED. Any idea when the rest come out?

Shonisaurus

Mike are going to come besides these novelties some figures referring to Schleich's dinosaurs? I am referring to if they are going to reveal more dinosaurs since I understand that there is a second wave of commercialization of figures that have not yet been revealed.

Takama

Schleich is doing what they didi last year and not releasing info on the summer models until they see fit.

Unlike last year however. The officials are doing a better job at keeping  them secret then they did last year. though someone did leak info on a Plesiosaurus.

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

All we know is that it is a Plesiosaurus. It could turn out to be one of the better Schleichs....or be terrible like most of their stuff.

Oh and apparently they gave away a Mini Spinosaurus on the Nuremberg Toyfair 2017 and some people are stupid enough to buy it for 12 Euros:

It's the same as the one in one of the Puzzle Sets/from the Magazine.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Peeople who buy a figure for 12 Euros that is readily available for far less. You can get a Puzzle Set with 4 figures for that.

Alright, seems like there was atleast one "new" set on the Nuremberg Toyfair.

This is obviously an oversized mock-up, but in the background you can see the actual packaging. Seems that this set consists of a large Ceratosaurus skull, what appears to be another Compy and a repaint of the green Raptor.

There is also a new puzzle.

Some people just can't resist words like limited or exclusive....I see it all the time on Ebay with a variety of products as a marketing tool. Caveat emptor true 2000 years ago true today.

Yes, but in this case it is literally the same figure as the one coming in the set with Ichthyosaurus, Mosasaurus and Quetzalcoatlus. It was also used in the first issue of the Schleich Dinosaurs magazine.

Honestly when I change ownership of the Schleich dinosaurs, I understand that they have abandoned their little commitment to collecting figures and have limited themselves to making marketable figures, but for children (although I do not know if they will come to them To many to like) their dinosaur figures and extinct animals.

It is seen that Schleich before the competition and before its little relevance and interest when competing with other companies of collectible toy dinosaurs, has been limited to the children like happens with Bullyland.

On the other hand for that spinosaurusSchleich miniature would not spend me $ 12 is an excessive price when you can have in any store for prices twice as cheap in Europe, although to the misfortune of which we are collectors are not available for wholesale stores and retailers Of other dinosaur companies whose figures are better, from my point of view and despite who weighs it, without going further as it has already been pointed out Mojo surpasses today the company Schleich making fewer figures at least with regard At first sight his allosaurus Mojo whose figure I will buy safely and not the allosaurus 2017 Schleich because with all the respect that deserves me that company is not of collecting and I think that figure is not well made and finished.

Schleich would milk and rehash their old products 1Kx over as long as there are suckers who would consume them.

Well, to be fair, this was a free gift to resellers. Seemingly Schleich does something like that every year.

Also found an interesting article:
https://www.spielwarenmesse.de/branchennews/detailseite/schleich-sichert-sich-exklusivrechte-an-bislang-unbekannter-dinosaurier-spezies/?L=0&cHash=315109f4e8c5b02e8761d051e802e047
Apparently they have the exclusive rights to a new species of Theropod discovered in South America, due to financing the trip. It is described as 14 metres high and weighting 8 tons. I think that is rather questionable. Article also confused Palaeontologists with Archeaologists.

Hmm, further research shows that it was an April Fool's joke.

The original article was however released on March 31st.
But let's speculate: Would something like that even be legal? Probably not.

prolly not. no one can own (legally) a species of any organism.
