Colorata made a new box set of feathered dinosaurs, including velociraptor, t-Rex, deinonychus, microraptor, oviraptor, dilong and sinosauropteryx.
If anyone knows how to post photos on the forum using the iPhone please tell me as the pictures are on my phone and I don't know how.
Sorry :'(

Microraptor? That must be a new sculpt.

Flaffy

Yup! All of them should be new sculpts! If I could just post a pic and show you guys...

I beleive you have to upload the pictures onto a web based storage (like photobucket, but I use panoramio) and use those links, but someone please correct me if I am wrong.
Inevitably, underlying instabilities begin to appear.

Lanthanotus

btb300 is correct.

Just had a look at Colorata's website, but they didn't seem to have uploaded it there yet (click) - I really find it weird that so many companies lag in updating their websites with their products or catalogues, even the biggest/most popular companies seem to struggle with that.

Apologies for poor photo quality, I don't know why but photobucket lowered the resolution of the photo.
Any ways here is the link to see the new feathered dinos

All I get is an error when I click that link. If you're still having troubles you could pm me the pictures and I'll post them for you

They look like nice figures, but from what I can see it appears that the designers have struggled to grasp the concept of wings.

The more, the better! I welcome any and all feathered dinosaur figures. This set interests me greatly.

:D Hurra! Finally a new Dinosaur box by Colorata. Gotta have these!!!

Flaffy

Sorry for not taking more pics  (and also the quality) I was in a rush. Anyways, the tail feathering of the figures are pretty neat, fanned out as they should, but all of them are missing primaries. Some of the figures paint jobs are nice, kinda fond of the micro raptor. I also like the oviraptor's exposed ostrich like thighs. But it is a bit pricey though, around 73USD. However, if the dinos had primary feathers I would've bought the set in a heartbeat! Gonna stick to David's Raptors though.
FYI, the box is a faint yellowish golden and almost twice the height of a normal colorata box.

Patrx

Ow, what a missed opportunity, they really botched those wings  :( Why do sculptors and toy manufacturers seem to have such trouble with that, I wonder?
The big tyrannosaur looks pretty nice, at least!

The good point of such a Colorata box is that you get relatively small figures of smaller species :) .... good for scale nerds (like me :-[).

Since you have the pictures working here, would you mind posting the ones you took of the new Favorite co. boxed sets on their thread? I'm dying to see more of that yutyrannus set! :D

I especially like how they're in the colour schemes of the originals.

A Microraptor that isn't entirely black is a nice change, assuming that is that the feather colours weren't tested across the entire body.

Wings are disappointing, but an easy fix t customize. Just remove the outside finger and presto, half decent wing.

Shame these are a limited edition, I'd love to get that Velociraptor and Microraptor. (If anyone is considering ordering one from Bret and wants to split the costs PM me).

The Scale Nerds would be a cool name for a rock band.  :))

Bokisaurus

What an interesting set, very cool.
I wonder if those white base are what they will come in.

terrorchicken

nice! I still dont have any Colorata dinos. Id like to get the Jurassic  box with the yangshuanosaurus but I keep putting it off, for other stuff I need to get.
Anyone know the best place to get Coloratas for good price?  I only know of eBay and Amazon...
